May be time to bring back some of the 2 back sets we ran last year

[BrandCanes]

Jacobs

[NZ Cane]

Soo....EVERYONE.

Everyone is needed, step up do your job. Feels like Dawson calls a lot of plays in a vacuum for certain guys be it lofton, a deep shot for Dre, or Upshaw in the slot that Toney might normally get....

One guy aint becoming Toney and getting 12 targets.

[SC-Cane]

I want to see the TE group get some more looks. They block their asses off and athletic

[GonzoCane]

Good question.Guess we’re going to find out soon.

[thebutcher]

Upshaw in the slot Jacobs out wide

[Canesfan1899]

D I noticed the players have been off social media since UNC. Not a peep about Mali or anything.

Any word on the teams mentality? I'm expecting OG Miami football on saturday. Make those jerseys proud.

My guess, bunker mentality, Mario is a hyper focused coach and I’ve got to imagine this week is complete locked in focus.

[Hold My Beer]

Big fan of D-Up. He got that dog in him

Believe he can be a difference-maker the rest of the season.

Yea I have waiting for the matchup advantage flex TE asset.

Briggs has been blocking well enough to get on the field so the next step is getting the targets and earning the trust.

Mali is out for a month. The 2027 WR class is elite.

Who is going to step up and cement their spot?

Question:

Outside of Barkate being a rental, who in freshman/soph class was considered a "Mali heir"?

Granted that is an unfair label because you just don't ever replace a talent like Toney, but who was recruited to be his next man up?

Spafford?

[gogeta4]

Upshaw played slot in high school? Genuine question

yes

[Brains]

Lofton

[MasterBlaster]

Barkate, Wingo and Lofton have to be impactful and we have to run the ball.

Who cares. Fix the defense. The offense will be fine.

Time for Dawson to install the LoftonCat

Or the Cantwellcat.. line them up in the pistol, give that boy, the ball, and let him run up the middle

[Brooklyndee]

38-43 carries between Fletcher and Mallory. That’s who.

Not with the way our defense struggled last week. If that is the approach it's gonna be hard to keep up...

[Bigbenchcane]

I hope we got a PA bomb on 1st June lay for TD!

[Applecane]

Use Spafford on a run sweep. Would love to see his speed in that role...

[Rocketcitycane06]

No offense but Upshaw is mid.

Has to be Jacobs or Wingo

Explain

This. Mali is a one man show. Will need the full team.

Barkate and Lofton for key 3rd downs and close endzone, Upshaw mid range, and Wingo and Jacobs to stretch the field. Roll in some nasty runs and a fairly called game (refs can cause more damage than Mali being out) and we can win.
