Colorado sucks…

Colorado is not a recruiting hotbed. And it's cold, so kid probably don't want to be there.

Tbqh, I'm not surprised. Takes a special kind of people to play there.

Yea but if Nick or a hard working recruiter would get players to go anywhere imo

For all the fans throughout the years he always wanted former players because of how great they were this is the reason why I was always against that. You asking one of the great players of his era to beg teenagers to come to your school that wont do in home visits because of that very ego, that doesn't help convince kids to suit up for you. No one will give a **** what you did in the past, the past is the past no matter how great you were. You have to go beyond to recruit and be genuine about it, if a kid doesn't like your aura or if you make it about you they will not play for you. Its there time not yours, you had your shine and its about them.

When I saw the Mark Pope situation I knew right there he would not be able to recruit at a high clip. He cooked himself putting that video out, thats like putting out a sparring video in boxing. Its just something you do not do and that never ends well.
What video pope put out? You talking about the Kentucky coach?..correct?

Nah the video where he kicked him off the team and had like a vote where half the room said not to kick him off. But he went in there knowing he was going to kick him off the team that’s why the cameras were on. Not a good look to do that to a player and post it, should keep **** like that in house. You don’t have to humiliate someone to get your point across

Those are excuses for Deion’s poor recruiting, at least it smells like excuses to me. It’s been a long since CU was a major power on a national scale, but in my lifetime they’ve been a top tier program. They used to clean up in Southern California, specifically San Diego, Texas and Louisiana, all urban and all warm. Deion is just a lazy, arrogant and indifferent recruiter. There’s no other way to call it. Who the **** is elitist to refuse making in-home and at school recruiting visits. I’ve never heard of such ****ery, the results have shown that his approach hasn’t worked. Colorado isn’t a hotbed, sure, but he’s a legend, he could clean up in Texas and Florida if he put in the work, but he seems stubborn and disinterested.

I'm not abolishing deion of anything here. He's not a real coach imo. Just a salesman.

Boulder is nice, not a shlthole like Gainesville, and overall there is talent in the student body and surrounding area. Cold weather is definitely NOT why top recruits don’t go. People that say stuff like that aren’t familiar with the area or state overall and like you said, Colorado has been good in the past.

I live about 20 mins from Boulder and yea it's a nice place and I could see why recruits would like it. Plus even when they suck they pack the stadium. It's a huge campus event. Miami and Boulder are wildly culturally different. Some kids want the small hipster town college feel.

Prime jugged them for $65 million and is gonna go back to being a media personality. Colorado's AD looks like a doofus & is going to get fired. This is just a terrible look for them. He's Karl Dorrell with a higher Q score.

Colorado got way more money from Deion being there than it cost to hire him. Well into the triple-digit millions. There have been many articles written on this. Before Deion, Colorado was as irrelevant a program as you could find. Not anymore. They will fade into obscurity again when he leaves, but hiring him was an absolute win for UC. For a time, they were the talk of all sports.

And no, I'm not a Deion fan in the least.

Yeah, it’s really no colder than OSU or Michigan.
