Colorado collapse

Quarterback was always their biggest weakness; they had no depth past Shedeur. Two true freshmen quarterbacks, each 3 star players. It was a recipe for a collapse if Shedeur was ever injured.

Their defensive back room had the two five stars on top, but everyone else were three stars. Furthermore their cornerback contingent was just five players.

Their offensive line had not a single blue chip player on it.

The most talent position group was wide receiver (also bolstered by Hunter). But it was overloaded with seven true freshmen wide receivers - a truly absurd number.

I ask you all how is that Colorado's oline and dline are so 🗑️ when they transferred in like their whole team. It is bad talent evaulation or bad coaching.

Anyone with brain knew this was coming.

The recruiting is like in the 60s and I don’t think he’ll be able to replicate the portal numbers again. What’s he going to do, kick 40 kids off the team again to bring in his own “LV luggage”?

The hype was out of control because they beat what is now a below average tcu team, a bad Nebraska squad, and a G5 CSU team.

But hey, his bandwagon of followers will say he’s still the greatest cause he won 4 games.

Because the biggest gap between FCS teams and FBS teams is the linemen quality. There's plenty of FCS skill players who can play at FBS level but there's very few linemen who can. Colorado wasn't exactly loaded on the lines before Deion got there and none of the guys he brought with him are any good.

What Deion did in Jackson State..if he were to have tried to replicate it at this level would have been to get the top defensive line and offensive line players from Georgia, Texas, Miami, A&M, and Alabama to transfering to Colorado. It wasn’t about superior schemes..it was put talent into everyone. And he can’t do that at Colorado.

If your a top tier corner and you go to a place without a front 7 your basically committing career suicide. You basically screwed yourself over because the qbs are just chillin throwing it like flag football. Like why would you do that? We have corners that have flashed at times just because of our DL. Imagine if we got talent there? Jaden Davis who gets picked on had his best game of his life vs TAMU. It’s why Ellis chose UGA he gets to play behind that front, once we build that up we will start landing top tier dbs.
