Well add 2 more to that list....really fascinating to see. Couple things really surprised me.
-Washington putting out QBs was a bit of a wow
-Didnt realize Nebraska had that type of juice at RB
-Arizona State being listed in QB, RB and WR. WHAT?????
-Just how much the Midwest schools dominating the OL lists
-Miami leading the way at DE was definitely a surprise. Didn't realize we had that many!
even less if you really think about it. Really started pumping out NFL guys starting in the early 80s and really tailed off starting in what 06-07 period. Of course there were guys before and after, but it was that 20-25 year period that was the vast majority, which makes it even more crazy. The most impressive thing about this list is Miami did most of this over about a 40-year span.
We are DL U period, from Ted Hendricks to Bain we have putting out monsters there for 50 years.Did not know we had that many DEs drafted. Expected from bama at DT, Nick was out there getting grown men. We will close this gap on OL and DT within 10 years.
Imagine if UM had been playing football at a high level since the 30’s like ND and Michigan. Other than aberrations like Hendricks and OJ Anderson, our list really doesn’t start until the early ‘80’s.The most impressive thing about this list is Miami did most of this over about a 40-year span.
