One of these programs is not like the rest...

LSU (35) - Lost in BCS Championship Game in 2011, double-digit wins in four of last five seasons
Alabama (35) - Back-to-back BCS Championships (2011-2012) followed by back-to-back Sugar Bowl losses (2013-2014)
Georgia (33) - 2012 SEC Championship Game loss to Alabama in down-to-the-wire thriller, double-digit wins in three of last four seasons
USC (33) - Double-digit wins in two of last four seasons, viewed as legit contender for CFB Playoff this year
Florida (32) - Lost Sugar Bowl in 2012, when they won 11 games
Florida St. (32) - National Champs in 2013 and lost in semifinals of inaugural CFB Playoff in 2014. 12+ wins in each of last three years.
Oklahoma (31) - Won Sugar Bowl over Alabama in 2013, double-digit wins in four of last five seasons
Notre Dame (29) - Lost in BCS Championship Game in 2012

The school that ranks first on this list, Miami (37), hasn't won 10 or more games in 11 years. Zero BCS Bowl appearances over that 11-year span, obviously. Zero ACC Championships. We've never even won the ACC Coastal. No program does less with more.

This is exactly why the lowering expectations crowd needs to f*** its own face. A quality coach who can develop properly and land premier talent from our recruiting base should be able to clean house here. Instead we've been hiring coaches so incompetent that you have certain fans hoping Golden scrapes by with 8-9 wins and merely competes in the Coastal in Year 5.

We should always be first on the list, but that should reconcile with our performance in college. Sad that its been so long since that has been true. The Rutgers 01 game may have portended the downfall, but it wasn't until 2005 when we were ousted for what seems like forever from our rightful place.

Info like this needs to be tacked and pointed to every time someone complains about the AG backlash and dislike. No progrum in the history of CFB has done less with more than what we've had for the last decade. It's an insult to everything the team USED to stand for.

I'm amazed that we're still first after 12 years or more of mediocrity. If we had real coaching and recruiting we'd probably have another 12-15 in the league right now...

How is it we have sucked for over a decade, and still have the more players in the NFL than any other program???? I'm even more depressed than before. More NFL players than an Alabama team that has dominated CFB the way we once did???? And we finished under .500 last year? Sad....

Bc when our players get here the emphasis is on getting good grades, going to class, and keeping the kids well behaved.

Then, you have them coached by a bunch of amateurs, from the HC to the SandC coach.

The team seems to run out of gas every November, bc we STILL have a total amateur clown ockroach running S and C.

The entire operation from the academic assistants to the nutritionists is bush league.

11 not 12 but still a very long time. How many of the 37 played for the school from 2005 and before?

You can point out that UM players dominate NFL rosters, but those are just the stars. We never had the depth to compete with teams like Duke, Pitt, GT, VT and UVA.

I know this sounds bad, but I view football at Miami as a field of study and we have the best department in the country. No one often recognizes what a doctor, lawyer or teacher does in college, it's what they do after college that matters most.

This tells me the recruiting rankings are wrong.

Or that Golden and staff are the worst in the country.

Lack of talent is not the problem facing Miami. The most underachieving coaching staff in the country is the problem.

I think from the other thread we have 8 Canes from last years team on NFL rosters? Any other team have that many?

Exactly. You don't just walk into Charlottesville and beat Virginia with Duke Johnson, Phil Dorsett, Clive Walford, Ereck Flowers, and the ACC leader in passing TD's. Rashawn Scott was hurt all last year and that's what did us in.

It's what happens when you have a hardcore Liberal President that has been incompetent and pathetic coaching for last 12 years!

I'm glad there are football guys on this board. You must have played because you understand that you don't win with overwhelming star power. You win with guys like Terry McCray. Depth.
