College Gameday question

They better be, ESPN flexed their TV muscle to get the game moved to celebrate 150 years of college football.

it's been confirmed somewhere that college gamely will be there but I don't remember where I saw it.

Can’t believe College GameDay won’t be there to serve up their love fest for all things SEC including a moving piece on the brilliance that is Danny Mullet. Only love we’ll get is from Herbie but I’m sure his bosses will make sure it’s tempered

Dnot worry espn hasn't started to build it up wait till mid to late July after the NBA free agency splash is over.every other commercial will be about uf/Miami game.en entertainment lineup etc.they will treat this like bowl week etc.

That game will be massive chance for Manny to light a true fire to go with all his hype. Also a nice match up for the historic stuff.

Small little private school in elite secluded upscale city that rose to the clouds turning college football upside down and save it at the same time,

vs the biggest state school in the state with more talent than any other that couldn’t even win its conference title before its opponent won the whole deal and was so tired of getting beat by them that it cancelled the series. Oh, did I mention the ONLY major ream beaten by Al Golden?

Let's not forget that ESPN has a big stake in the ACC with the ACCN launching next month.

And when we stomp them, they all will tell us that UF must not have been that good after all. Someone will ask, "Is Miami back?", and the rest will tell them to slow down, it's just game one against an obviously over rated Florida team.

I just read about the new member of the College football broadcast staff and it was said that College Game day will kick off in Orlando for the Canes-Gators game.

Thanks for confirming.

OT but eSECpn really did Adnan Virk dirty. I always liked the job he did and he always came off as an informed affable dork as opposed to someone with any agendas, allegiances or biases.

Since we're playing uif week zero any chance they post up in Orlando for our game?

100%. It's the only game that weekend. They literally moved the date so it would be in the spotlight for the 100-year anniversary of college football. Miami / Florida is the talk college football that weekend, getting a jump-start on the season.

Agree, seemed like a good dude. Now they've added another SEC guy to the mix, shocking...

That sounds exactly how it would go done to the T.

What did they do fire him?

Yup. For "leaking" some innocuous fact about Baseball Tonight's future scheduling. The new president at eSECpn was trying to make an example out of him when every employee he has there leaks and often about way more serious or even damaging material.

The first college game was between Rutgers and Princeton in 1869. This year is the 150th anniversary of college football. Back in 1969 The Canes wore 100 on their helmets to acknowledge the 100th anniversary.
