Yeah I agree. Our home schedule doesn’t set up well for Gameday this year. Half the games aren’t on Saturday, and none of them are against top contenders.I would highly doubt it
Virginia Tech would be possible if Franklin gets them rolling, but it’s not a Saturday game
Miami in December is beautiful
Isnt vt another friday game..Any chance our Canes host?

I couldn’t remember because we have so few Saturday games this year so I googled.Isnt vt another friday game..
You're getting old, Empy! They do Game Day special editions off Saturday...or am I imagining things...

The Saturday games usually aren't announced until the week or two before at most, so unfortunately for UNC we won't know until mid-October. Depends on how well (or poorly) the teams are doing, what the network schedules are, etc.Anyone know when game times will be announced? Want to go to UNC but if it’s a night game it will be near impossible to sell to the wife with a 5 and 3 year old lol
You people suck! You're getting old, Empy!
Just kidding!
You mean for the Thursday/Friday type games? Not sure what you're referring to. If it's what I think you mean, those aren't Gameday special editions, that's just them broadcasting from the game so they set up there beforehand and do pregame commentary.
FINE. Hmmmmmph. I googled, and here's what it (the AI portion) told me:You people suck!
You people are LOOOOSERS!
I'm not the one with the problem here.
What I clearly said was that there is no such thing as off-Sat College Gameday shows.
Mouth breathers!

So much matters on who else is playing. But imagine if Duke is like 7-2 or something and we are 9-0 coming off beating ND. So many storylines outside the field that would make that game interesting.I couldn’t remember because we have so few Saturday games this year so I googled.Isnt vt another friday game..
Here’s the schedule for the thread.

The only Saturday home games we have are the Central Michigan, FSU, Pitt, Duke, and BC. Pretty safe to say we aren’t getting Gameday.
Here's the link to the full schedule of games that weekend. Right away, my money is going to Gameday going to Texas @ LSU. Gameday goes to SEC games most of the time because, well, we all know why. Michigan @ Oregon is another good one that I would bet on before us.So much matters on who else is playing. But imagine if Duke is like 7-2 or something and we are 9-0 coming off beating ND. Probably some insane SEC or Big Ten game that weekend makes this moot, but that could be a possibility if things fall correctly.

ESPN occasionally produces special Thursday editions of College GameDay Built by The Home Depot to kick off the college football season, often in conjunction with major rivalry games or opening-week matchups.
Note: The 2025 season began with a special Saturday, Aug. 30 show for Ohio State vs. Texas, with special Thursday broadcasts usually reserved for opening week rivalry games.
- Past Thursday Editions: College GameDay has held special Thursday shows for events like the 2022 "Backyard Brawl" between Pitt and West Virginia, which was a one-hour special.
- Kickoff Focus: These Thursday shows generally set the stage for the first full weekend of college football, with the crew traveling to a new location for the traditional Saturday morning show immediately after.
- Coverage Content: The Thursday editions feature the main crew—including Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, and Pat McAfee—and typically include live updates from the stadium, special guests, and analysis ahead of the night's matchup.

Empy, I think we were saying the same thing...
Odds are we are probably gameday the week before anyway. No chance we’d get it B2B weeks. Here's the link to the full schedule of games that weekend. But you are correct, depending on how things play out in the ACC, who knows. GT is also at Clemson that day, so they could also be up for Gameday.
Probably, although Bama is @ LSU that weekend too, and Oregon is @ Ohio State. ESPN prefers doing Gameday when they also have the game's broadcasting rights, so with our game being on NBC/Peacock, not sure we will get it over the SEC game.Odds are we are probably gameday the week before anyway. No chance we’d get it B2B weeks.
