The only Saturday home games we have are the Central Michigan, FSU, Pitt, Duke, and BC. Pretty safe to say we aren’t getting Gameday.

They do Game Day special editions off Saturday...or am I imagining things...

...AGAIN
You're getting old, Empy!

Just kidding!

You mean for the Thursday/Friday type games? Not sure what you're referring to. If it's what I think you mean, those aren't Gameday special editions, that's just them broadcasting from the game so they set up there beforehand and do pregame commentary.

Anyone know when game times will be announced? Want to go to UNC but if it’s a night game it will be near impossible to sell to the wife with a 5 and 3 year old lol

The Saturday games usually aren't announced until the week or two before at most, so unfortunately for UNC we won't know until mid-October. Depends on how well (or poorly) the teams are doing, what the network schedules are, etc.

The Thursday / Friday games will always be at night. Usually 7:30 or 8.

You people suck!

You people are LOOOOSERS!

I'm not the one with the problem here.

What I clearly said was that there is no such thing as off-Sat College Gameday shows.

Mouth breathers!

😬😬😬

FINE. Hmmmmmph. I googled, and here's what it (the AI portion) told me:

ESPN occasionally produces special Thursday editions of College GameDay Built by The Home Depot to kick off the college football season, often in conjunction with major rivalry games or opening-week matchups.
  • Past Thursday Editions: College GameDay has held special Thursday shows for events like the 2022 "Backyard Brawl" between Pitt and West Virginia, which was a one-hour special.
  • Kickoff Focus: These Thursday shows generally set the stage for the first full weekend of college football, with the crew traveling to a new location for the traditional Saturday morning show immediately after.
  • Coverage Content: The Thursday editions feature the main crew—including Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, and Pat McAfee—and typically include live updates from the stadium, special guests, and analysis ahead of the night's matchup.

Note: The 2025 season began with a special Saturday, Aug. 30 show for Ohio State vs. Texas, with special Thursday broadcasts usually reserved for opening week rivalry games.

So much matters on who else is playing. But imagine if Duke is like 7-2 or something and we are 9-0 coming off beating ND. So many storylines outside the field that would make that game interesting.

Probably some insane SEC or Big Ten game that weekend makes this moot, but that could be a possibility if things fall correctly.
