Dead as a door nail.
Yeah, well sorry u feel that way. I’m sure it’ll be “dead” once we dominate again, as well.
Dead as a door nail.
Yes they do bro!They're everywhere bro... if you **** somewhere they'll grow like a weed.
Logic is not far gone. Use your head for a second. How else could you possibly seed conference champions? You can't seed them before the Conf championship game. You take the 4 champs. Then seed them.Logic is so far gone for you. You said the championship games would be the opening round of the playoff, now you’re taking about seeding teams after that, just like they do now. Bottom line is conference championships from crap conferences don’t qualify you for the playoff more than actually being a dominant team. The idea will never happen because it’s idiocy and counter to what the objective of the playoff is
You’re also giving worse teams in worse conferences a chance at a national championship over better teams because of conference affiliation…that’s the definition of unfair in football
Also, in your plan bama would sleepwalk to another title…that sounds real fun
You're 100% right.Lol; it’s definitely not a dead sport. Lol. If it was a dead sport, these sponsors wouldn’t be offering so much $ for bowl sponsorships.
Look guys, as I’ve tried to explain months ago, sports go through ebbs & flows. Parity is a perception, but it’s not a reality. I’m sure 76ers fans hated basketball in the 60’s as Boston ran amuck. I’m sure Red Sox fans hated baseball in the 20’s as The Yankees murdered everyone. I’m sure Hawks fans hated Chicago as they dominated the 90’s.
In CFB, here are the facts, usually dominance run through a 20 yr period. I would admonish anyone to go look at the history of National Champions from the inception of CFB. Look every 20 yrs & typically u’ll see the same culprits winning titles. Bama is hot right now; it’s been a 14 yr stretch…but they’ll come back to earth. The reason why we’re so frustrated is b/c we’re not anywhere to be found in discussion, not even a **** conference title game.
It’s OK, I get like that, too…but we’ll be back. We finally have the infrastructure re-establishing itself, but the game is no where near dead. Lol.
Who cares about that get more teams in so that recruiting would even out. Makes more upsets with more teams. I guess 8 teams would be fine but with 12 the top 4 get a bye to the second roundit would be ridiculous to have a national champion that had 3 or 4 losses in the regular season
@OriginalGatorHater idea makes perfect sense

No I am not. Are you really this dense? You are essentially making an 8 team playoff. As opposed to a 4 team playoff. No one is getting in over the better team. They all had their shot. The better teams are just getting knocked out earlier. UGA gets knocked out in the first round in this scenario.
Exactly, if you can’t seed teams before the championship games, that’s neither fair or a true playoff because the two best teams are playing each other in the first round, that’s not a fair shot. You’re beyond help if you are honestly arguing that this wouldn’t adversely effect the best conferences and reward the weakest ones. it’s a good thing this cluster scenario will never happen because No one except a couple on here would want to see a bama, Baylor, Utah and Michigan playoff with bama being favored by 2-3 scores in a championship gameLogic is not far gone. It would be a true playoff since there is only 5 conferences. UGA got their shot. They lost. Season ends. I don't give af about 2 SEC teams are in the finals. I would like to see this because it actually makes sense. It would eliminate the G5 BS teams making it into the playoffs.Exactly, if you can’t seed teams before the championship games, that’s neither fair or a true playoff because the two best teams are playing each other in the first round, that’s not a fair shot. It’s quite ironic that you want this to happen just so two sec teams aren’t in the final 4, but your scenario puts two teams in the “playoff” from each conference and has them play a conference opponent in the first round…and simple logic should tell you the better your conference the more difficult your first rd game would be, which is unfairly penalizing the best conferences like I said
