Cole Neubauer 2014 OLB/ILB from Phoenix, Arizona could be a very interesting prospect for Miami standing at 6'3" 230lbs he runs a 4.5 sec 40yd time, benches 330lbs, Squats 540lbs has a 3.6 GPA & 1780 SAT ( so he can be an Early Enrollee) is a player UM should take a long look at. Being from Phoenix, Az he is not getting alot of attention, but the kid dominates his competition he had 69 tackles last year while playing get this ILB, OLB, DE, and NT for his team which shows he is smart enough & athletic enough to play multiple positions.
The first thing that catches your attention when watching his highlights are his abilities to quickly diagnosis the play, then run down the ball carrier, and when he does gets there he always delivers a sure tackle pop driving the ball carrier backwards eliminating YAC's.
He could be a very good ILB because he knows how to both play in space and in traffic.
With JUCO LB Smothers committing to Uof AZ, UM has a LB spot open and this kid has the goods to be a steal.
Neubauer is a versatile 6'3" 230lb-er who projects to either linebacker or defensive end at the college level. To show his flexibility he even played cornerback versus Desert Mountain HS in 2012 to match up with Rivals100 receiver Mark Andrews (6'6" 230lbs 4* OU commit)
Here the highlight of that game Cole shut down Andrews completely in that game with some fierce bump and run coverage. ( watch the Oct 19th Game vs Desert Mountain)(Cole is #90 and Andrews is #81)
