Cole Neubauer 2014 OLB/ILB from Phoenix, Arizona could be a very interesting prospect for Miami standing at 6'3" 230lbs he runs a 4.5 sec 40yd time, benches 330lbs, Squats 540lbs has a 3.6 GPA & 1780 SAT ( so he can be an Early Enrollee) is a player UM should take a long look at. Being from Phoenix, Az he is not getting alot of attention, but the kid dominates his competition he had 69 tackles last year while playing get this ILB, OLB, DE, and NT for his team which shows he is smart enough & athletic enough to play multiple positions.

The first thing that catches your attention when watching his highlights are his abilities to quickly diagnosis the play, then run down the ball carrier, and when he does gets there he always delivers a sure tackle pop driving the ball carrier backwards eliminating YAC's.

He could be a very good ILB because he knows how to both play in space and in traffic.
With JUCO LB Smothers committing to Uof AZ, UM has a LB spot open and this kid has the goods to be a steal.

Neubauer is a versatile 6'3" 230lb-er who projects to either linebacker or defensive end at the college level. To show his flexibility he even played cornerback versus Desert Mountain HS in 2012 to match up with Rivals100 receiver Mark Andrews (6'6" 230lbs 4* OU commit)

Here the highlight of that game Cole shut down Andrews completely in that game with some fierce bump and run coverage. ( watch the Oct 19th Game vs Desert Mountain)(Cole is #90 and Andrews is #81)

his gpa and test scores have nothing to do w/ being an early enrollee. his grades have nothing to do w/ whether or not he is ahead and on track to graduate hs w/ the necessary requirements.
just b/c smothers committed elsewhere doesn't mean we just have an open spot at lb. there may be someone else coming or they may allocate that spot elsewhere.

one of the worst.

UM is still looking for a LB/DE and this kid has the physical tools to offer the flexibility UM is looking for in Defensive Players. As for having the Necessary requirements he has a scholarship offer from Penn (an if you don't know about Penn, is an IVY League School so that puts his grades issue to rest).

An As I mentioned this thread is just putting information out there, as a possibility not to mention the kid can flat out play and has a high Football IQ. An As I mentioned the kid shut down the #87 ranked player (WR Mark Andrews) in the country when they played. So that shows Neubauer's versatility.

Mark Andrews Profile (just for reference)

Watch the highlights before you make uniformed statements talking crap about things obviously you haven't done your due diligence on.

just b/c he has great grades does not imply ANY kid can enroll early. he has to be on a track to graduate early and complete the necessary course by dec. that's not every kid, even the ones with great grades. if you can't comprehend that, I can't help you.

Great find, Paranos. These threads are really informative and help us all get to know some players that are UM quality that we might not know about. Wish you'd post more. Thanks, bud.

Here's a simple concept in recruiting: Missing on a JUCO player doesn't mean a HS player of the same position will get that spot
