Nice team…with some decent players, and TE that will play on Sundays. The talent level overall is not good, and the competition is poor. Seems crazy to me they are ranked top 20.

They’ve got NFL talent. The QB, RB, a WR, TE, and a Dlineman. Maybe more.

For reference the Moise kid we recruited doesn’t see the field there. 4 star kid in year 2.

Schematically.. both sides of the ball.. they’re probably a top 2 or 3 team outside the P5. Cincinnati, Coastal, and BYU.

I’m not saying they don’t have some players, but the overall talent level is visibly a notch below P5. I know all the self loathers will run in here and jump at the chance to let everyone know they’d roll us blah blah…but watching them I don’t see a top 20 team. Not even that impressed with the coaching. I was watching mostly because of the good things said about the coach, but haven’t been blown away. Think the defense is pretty well coached though. Maybe it’s just because I’m used to watching us and relatively, who isn’t well coached?

This is the sloppiest I’ve seen them play. I’ve watched every one of their games 2020-2021. They’ll probably clean it up in the 2nd half and blow them out. The talent level is a little lower for sure. Notably their OL is pretty small compared to P5.

Chadwell is the modern day version of Satterfield when he was at App State. I’d say when someone hires him the DC gets their HC job. Sucks because he’s a big piece of their success. Very good coach

My family knows him personally.. been out of touch for several years. But still. That being said I would pass on hiring him. Risky just from the jump in the type of job and pressure associated. It’s a different animal in the P5.

But if we did hire him I could see him being successful. I could also see it being a disaster

Someone said it best on here. No more g5 coaches just go out and get a proven hc that wants this job. We hired mark richt and he won the only costal title here in 17 years.

May not win big like we all want but at this point we need to start somewhere and win an average of 9 games a year and go from there

They are wayyyy to small on the oline to be able to fully scheme against a power 5 consistantly.

I think they would give us a game similarly to App State. Matter of fact their game with app state will be a good one
 
CC plays at Virginia next season. Interesting game if Chadwell sticks.
