Coaching Staff Making Same Al Golden Mistakes

After having this coaching staff here for some years it's uncanny how this staff is mimicking the previous staff when asked hard questions.

So the honeymoon is definitely over. This situation didn't just happen all of a sudden. It happened over years and months of bad football and demonstrably bad performance based on data - on the offense.

As well, at this stage in the current coaching staff's dealings with fans things are getting bad. If this staff's approach to dealing with Miami fans doesn't change, it's going to get embarrassing for them. Bank on it.

If staff members read this, never use the following terms. Never say "trust the process", "block out the noise (fan criticism)", "we need to trust each other", "road games are hard" and "stage was too big". At the end of the day, you need to win. This isn't a criticism more than a warning. Shut up, stop talking down to fans and win.

Al Golden chose his friendship over his job, the UM community, and his own players' futures. That was unfair and Coach Richt is making that same mistake. His son is in no way able to accomplish the job (make him an analyst) nor is CMR able to balance the responsibilities of an HC and OC and recruiting leadership positions. Let's stop lying to one another.

Here's the funny part. Al Golden looked down on Miami fans and Mark Richt did just that this week with every media appearance. If he thinks this is Athens where a coach can target fans, he's kidding himself. As it is people are tired of waiting. People are tired of the SEC bias and dirty deeds that happen to get the top recruits. People are just tired.

Here's a message for the fans. Stay the same crazy *** people you are. To the coaching staff, you better **** well listen and acknowledge when fans speak in one voice to you. JJ did. Ericson and Butch did. Otherwise we'll find out how good you are at "ignoring the noise".

If you respect fans we will respect you. Beat Duke. (Hopefully without slants and full back dives)

Richt has 170 wins and is more than a hundred games over .500 for his career. Al Golden will never coach a Power 5 team again.

Please stop creating asinine threads like this.

Richt will never coach anothet power 5 team again either.

I’ve said it before, and it’s true.... the only diference between Golden’s tenure and Richts, Is that richt doesn’t have to deal with an elite FSU.

You can point out the ipf, and recruiting to a degree.... but at the end of the day, out last 2 HCs are mirror images of eachother.

Epi, Epi, Epi...were you at the Rock for the Notre Dame and Virginia Tech games last year? When did you ever see an Al Golden team blow out two nationally ranked teams? We've lost two tough games but come on dude.

Dude we have lost a ton of games under Rick. Stop acting like the fans are missing out on some great team. We suck, have sucked, and will continue to suck until we get a real coach and staff here, not some washup garbage heap UGA throwaway.
your pretending he’s under achieving with a great roster tho..on O our best players are fresh and soph at each pos group
9-4..10-3..5-?..that’s 10 losses in 2.5 years. After taking over a 6-7..8-4 roster..breaks 7 straight years of losses to FSU..should’ve broke it at 6 if it wasn’t for questionable calls and St. Louis..doing this with a former 2star QB. He wasn’t giving a roster of all Americans and ballers and 5star/4star recruits across the board..you clearly thought this would be a quick turn-around after 12 years of bs. I’ll take 2 years of evidence this staff is pointed In the dirwction. I’ve had my eyes pointed on year 4. But depends on how we finish this season. Hypethetically for me 10 win plus a bowl win is headed in the right direction..this off-season will be pivotal

We’re 1-6 in our last 7 vs P5. The wheels have fallen off, Go.

Richt definitely needs help offensively there is no doubt. But we aren't in the position we were under Golden. 1-6 is bad but three of those losses were to Clemson (12-2 AP #6), Wisconsin (13-1 AP #4) and LSU (7-1 AP#3). Even UVA and BC are a combined 14-4 and are undefeated at home.

Things are terrible brother, but CMR has already beaten multiple ranked teams, some by total routs in 2 1/2 seasons. I don't think Golden did it once.

Al had some good wins too. I don’t find any solace looking at what Richts done here so far... he’s lost to too many teams he shouldn’t have.

BUT, this story isn’t written yet. If richt is able to self scout, and do what he needs to do, all will be good. And I’m not too long at all we’ll be knocking on the playoffs.

Richt didn’t beat the elite FSU team that Al had to face. He beat a garbage FSU team that bears no resemblance to the last 7.

You can talk about holes in the roster, which can explain losses to Clemson and LSU. The problem is that he’s losing to uva, Pitt, BC etc. These are teams he out talents, but can’t out coach.

Closed as 6.5 point underdogs against Wisconsin playing in our home stadium, closed as double-digit underdogs vs Clemson on a neutral field, and would be even bigger underdogs on a neutral against Clemson this year. I didn't even mention Georgia, Ohio State, and Oklahoma who would all be significant favorites on a neutral field against Miami but yea Richt is righting the ship. We aren't close to the actual good teams yet but keep pumping that sunshine.

He still beat FSU tho. We weren’t elite and they weren’t elite and their rosters definitely had more talent on them then ours...Go watch those Pitt..UVA..BC games again. I think you guys are over exaggerating the talent on this roster RN. ESPECIALLY on offense. Along with under appreciating the importance of execution (oline play). It’s fustrating because u know what are skill guys can do on the outside. But games are one and loss at the LOS. Always has been. Those last two games were loss at the LOS. There’s just not much adjustment for bad oline play. Make changes to the oline. I think you’d agree with what he had done the last 2 years he deserves the chance at that
