After having this coaching staff here for some years it's uncanny how this staff is mimicking the previous staff when asked hard questions.
So the honeymoon is definitely over. This situation didn't just happen all of a sudden. It happened over years and months of bad football and demonstrably bad performance based on data - on the offense.
As well, at this stage in the current coaching staff's dealings with fans things are getting bad. If this staff's approach to dealing with Miami fans doesn't change, it's going to get embarrassing for them. Bank on it.
If staff members read this, never use the following terms. Never say "trust the process", "block out the noise (fan criticism)", "we need to trust each other", "road games are hard" and "stage was too big". At the end of the day, you need to win. This isn't a criticism more than a warning. Shut up, stop talking down to fans and win.
Al Golden chose his friendship over his job, the UM community, and his own players' futures. That was unfair and Coach Richt is making that same mistake. His son is in no way able to accomplish the job (make him an analyst) nor is CMR able to balance the responsibilities of an HC and OC and recruiting leadership positions. Let's stop lying to one another.
Here's the funny part. Al Golden looked down on Miami fans and Mark Richt did just that this week with every media appearance. If he thinks this is Athens where a coach can target fans, he's kidding himself. As it is people are tired of waiting. People are tired of the SEC bias and dirty deeds that happen to get the top recruits. People are just tired.
Here's a message for the fans. Stay the same crazy *** people you are. To the coaching staff, you better **** well listen and acknowledge when fans speak in one voice to you. JJ did. Ericson and Butch did. Otherwise we'll find out how good you are at "ignoring the noise".
If you respect fans we will respect you. Beat Duke. (Hopefully without slants and full back dives)
