Coaching index leaves Mario out of top 10!

I have to admit, my first thought was, "Out of the top 10 ACC coaches?" I thought that was harsh, but understandable, after last year.

Top ten nationally? On what planet would he be considered for that? He went 5-7. Had one above average recruiting class. Lucky to be top 25.

Last year NO ONE IN THE COUNTRY was worse than Mario as a day game coach! I can see him in the top 25 and that's a maybe.

Who gives a crap? Mario knows what he has to do, and has a well defined plan on how to get there. I'm quite sure he couldn't care less what some geeks think. Then again, we're in the dog days of summer, so fans are going to post pointless crap, just because.

A shoe in for the Top 10 disappointment. Could be number 1 with a bullet.

Let’s hope he turns it around this year.

He definitely reads what dorks think or he wouldn’t be crying about the media in year one

You can't be a glorified recruiter, and worst game day coach in the country, and crack the top 25. By the way, if all he is is a recruiter, I expect a **** of a lot better than what he's done thus far in that area.

I've said it for years. If Miami gets a good game day coach, a man that can put the players in position to make plays and showcase their talents, we will win. We will attract talent. This idea that Miami needs to just out recruit everyone in order to compete is complete rubbish. Give me an Xs and Os coach and watch our team take off. For Fs sake, give me a coach that can beat MTSU when they have a massive talent advantage already.

It's not that I don't like Mario personally. I just don't like his ability to get his team ready to play on Saturday. He doesn't consistently put his players in position to succeed. He's not some 35 year old prodigy. He never was. He's older than me, and closer to retirement than the beginning of his career. I have no patience for failure from a 50+ year old professional.

his well defined plan was trash. hes got a lot to prove in year 2. he was manny diaz at best in year 1. time to be worth the money that is being spent on him in year 2.
