I think the VT powers that be are banking on better game day coaching, better recruiting presence in the DMV and better access to assistant coaches. But I find it noticeable that neither of his coordinators followed him from Happy Valley. On the recruiting front, they did find their usual diamonds-in-the-rough, some of them eventually transferring to bigger schools like LSU. But their overall lack of presence in DMV and Tidewater has hurt them.
