I foresee Clemson having a tough go of things next year, sorta like this year was for them. My guess is that Nick Saban is most likely the only coach in football who it seems like every couple of years loses one or more of key assistants, and continues to field a championship, or near-champion team year after year without missing a beat.

Clemson ended 9-3 and playing their best football.

If they play the way the ended this year, that's not a "tough go."

If they regress from this year due to the absence of Elliott and Venables, that's a tough go.
