I do not have a favorite at this point. One of the obvious cons of the coaches mentioned is that they have no ties to South Florida for recruiting. Quite honestly maybe it is time that The U looked a little harder outside of its back yard for talent.

Yes. Need to go beyond south Florida.

Of all the names being thrown around, I think Mike Leach maybe the most realistic and actually the best fit. He’s not staying at Wash St. forever, and his system will attract athletes to stay home at the U. He’s also the guy they should’ve hired back in 2012.

I thought he was a DC for Jimmy with the cowboys but I could be mistaken. I know it’s a pipe dream but I would take him back as a DC any day of the week.

he seems like a legit good man in addition to being a very good coach.

Nothing off but everything I have read and heard on sports talk, i.e. ESPNU, is that he prefers a smaller environment. He is a California guy and has spent almost his whole career on the west coast. Good coach but I doubt he would be interested.
