Starting to wonder if there is some truth in the rumor he has some clause in the contract about the buyout in year 3. Rumor is it's near $8 million. then it drops significantly in year 4. No idea how "standard" or not this would be.

He has two years on his deal remaining after this season. A tad over eight million total. He’s not getting that, it’s closer to half in the buyout. The numbers are idiotic.
