COACHING/ADMIN UPDATES MEGGGGAAAAAAATHREAD

That $8m has to be if he’s fired in season. That buyout should drop significantly in January. It was always stupid to give him a 5 year contract, it obviously should have been 4 which would put us in a much better position right now
Yeah; definitely shouldn’t have been a 5 yr contract for an unproven coach. Just like u never sign a 12 yr contract w/ an endorser for over 10 yrs, usually u do 8 to keep up w/ the market. Again, incompetence on Blake on all fronts, hence, he needs to go, and expeditiously.

Is this Feldman's Burner?
So you guys consider Bruce Feldman a fake insider now?

Got an ESPN notification on my phone recently and my heart skipped a beat at the thought the news was that Manny was fired. Instead, it was just telling me that the Georgia/Arkansas game was starting. This is gonna be torture until they finally let him go. Can’t imagine the level of toxicity that will be in the program as the losses mount. We could look like a Tennessee situation.

There’s a poster in this thread who has been right about a number of inside things who is saying it’s inaccurate.
Okay but hard to imagine a coach who signed a 5 year deal and hasn't finished year 3 yet wouldn't have a pretty high buyout...

That’s not what was said. Seems he’s not well connected or getting the right info on this story per others but TBD.
Idk man it sounds like it would be accurate though. Manny Diaz signed a 5 year contract, he hasn't even finished year 3 yet so I imagine the buyout would be based off after year 2. Diaz signed a 5 year deal that started at 3.1M and went up each season.

Sure, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was half - ironically $4M - which should be an easy number for Blake.
Blake gave him the contract though... Hard to believe Manny didn't fleece him to make it difficult for him to be fired since both are tied together

As much as a fan I am - I started in like 02. So I’ve only seen negative. I graduated HS in 98 and started following college football close after and became a Cane Fan. Needless to say I don’t have very high expectations here. The Ohio state loss was my indoctrination to canes football and when I became a fan. I was late to the party.

Your using that to justify him not being credible lol. To be fair Garcia and TVD we're both splitting reps and we're considered 2A and 2B, manny said so himself
This is the hill you’re choosing to die on? Multiple people have told you that Feldman is not plugged in like that but you choose to ignore it. He’s being fed info the admin wants out there. Doesn’t make it the truth

No I’m using info I’ve received for three years , Info thats proven him to be clueless multiple times. He’s a national guy that’s more of tv personality than having sauces in every program . He’s fed what he’s allowed to eat. If you want to believe garbage then feel free. Its a free country. If you believe manny is owed 9 million in a buyout with two years 8 and change remaining thats on you.

He called tvd our third stringer , so there’s that. He seems really locked in
No disrespect to you, but if the number is so low and so doable, why hasn't he been terminated yet? Clearly the report is accurate in terms of the administration's reluctance to do the right and obvious thing. I'm not calling you out to be clear, just trying to know what's real and what isn't. I can't believe Blake James has been allowed to run a muck like this. This report proves why everyone is certain that the administration doesn't care about football or athletics in general. Worst athletic department in the country.
