COACHING/ADMIN UPDATES MEGGGGAAAAAAATHREAD

Supposedly Manny Diaz buyout drops a ton after the season. So it does make sense for them to wait. It's 8M now but 2M in January supposedly but I'm not sure how accurate that is

Feldman says the admin still supports him

And that his buyout is $9 million

Of course the admin still supports him they are tied at the hip. I don’t know how is buyout is 9 million based on everything we know. One thing is clear is that firing him is not on there mind, but that will all change after UNC.

Ummm we didnt start our 3rd string QB!! We started our 2nd string QB who if it wasn't for the extra Covid year would have gone into spring as the favorite to win the job. That's not even factoring in that he's a year older than Jake and Manny has a tendency to pick the older player.

I’m not claiming to be an insider here,

But that Feldman report is very contradictory to prior more reliable info.

Also, why would the university leak that they can’t afford a buyout that was incorrectly reported at $8mm+

I’m bet my house this fake info is coming from the Blake James / Jenn Strawley camp

Lot of spin and BS in there, but the fact that they are monitoring an in-season firing is telling. We know how this story ends.
I would say imagine there is a 80% chance Manny gets fired after the season whenever the buyout is lower. Unless they run the table and go 9-3 or some ****

Manny finally didn't get blown out in a loss this season so the administration is seeing that as a positive step for the third year HC who was an objectively terrible hire.

Sound minds like always at da U baby.

If you want to see how history repeats itself in action look no further than Miami coach hiring in the last 20 years.
