Coaches poll keeps us at #7 (smh)

Everybody 1-6 won! Everyone did what they were supposed to do. Only team that should have fell maybe spot or 2 is Oregon.

The voters were not about to completely reshuffle their rankings after week one and basically confirm that preseason polls are useless. Even though everyone knows they are.

We won't be allowed a single slip up this season. The ACC is off to a terrible start.

Lose a game against anyone not named Notre Dame on our schedule and they'll bury us.

You are 100% correct but we shouldn't be still slipping up.

All we have to do is win and were in. We don't have a tough road to do so.

These other teams in the top 10 have way more pressure than us because they will lose games no question.
 
1-8 seem to be a clear step above the others right now. Tho I think Oregon/ND probably need to show a little more to prove they belong in that class.


But we also need to play better in the trenches before I become too worked up over our placement
 
This is all virtue signaling from the writers and coaches. No one should care right now, other than Notre Dame was rewarded for ****+ ing the bed for a half against Wisky at their stadium. Ridiculous. Until the game at South Bend, the rankings don’t mean squat.
 
Same bull**** as last year, making it as hard for us as possible. Being behind Oregon is an absolute joke that cannot be explained in any reasonable way.

I cannot recall..but I would be interested to know if the AP poll and Coaches poll had us ranked ahead of ND going into that final CPF ranking when we jumped ND for the final spot...I seem to remember ND was ranked ahead of us hence their shock when we jumped them at the last minute. Nevertheless, like many have said. Rankings dont matter in Sept.
 
Everyone knows there is only one poll that matters and that is the offiical one at the end of the season. If you don't think that's true check with the Domers.

I'm glad we didn't move up. Gotta keep us a little hungrier.

And South Carolina, Vandy, and Auburn just waiting in the wings. They would have 13 teams if the poll was top 30 teams. Only SEC schools that didn’t receive votes were Ark, UK, and Miss State.

Also, Clemson receiving 3 votes is ridiculous.

In fairness, and God knows I hate writing this, the $EC did go 16-0 last week. Granted most of those W's were against Mierda State. However, the ACC did have a couple opportunities to knock them back. Louisville didn't embarrass themselves, but Clemson sure did.
