Coaches Poll #7 AP Poll #8

We can beat Cuse and UNC with what we have healthy right now. If we can get some guys back (Richards, Delaney, Donaldson, and Redwine- should be back this week if it was a concussion) for VT and ND I'll feel really good about those games as well.

We were playing DE at DT and TE at DE vs VT last year and hung with them for a while until we eventually just couldn't do it anymore.. not to mention being on the road in a night game and on a short week.

11-0 is a legit possibility right now.

I’ll get some pushback on this, but I absolutely think that Wisconsin and TCU are frauds

****.. Yes. Wisconsin especially. Their nonconference schedule is a joke. The big 10 west is battling the sec east as the worst division in the power 5. They play 1 ranked team (assuming Michigan doesn't fall out) & only 2 teams above .500. The playoff committe shouldn't even have them in the top 10.

Wisconsin I would agree with but TCU looks to be pretty legit in my view. What are you seeing from TCU to make you think they're a fraud?

Look at their schedule. I suppose Oklahoma State is a quality win, but they don’t play defense. Arkansas just sucks balls, par for the course, I just don’t see quality wins. Edged out WVU, who’s meh. They’re undefeated, so I get their ranking, but their remaining schedule, minus Oklahoma, is soft. In fact, the big 12 is garbage.

I have an issue with Ohio State being ranked above us. They've beaten 4 teams that do not have a winning record and Army. They lost at home to the only ranked team they played.

Historically, power 5 conference teams rise in the rankings until they get their first loss. So until we lose, UM should be ranked ahead of every team with a loss.

That is an excellent point. Voters can't point to our schedule & defend Ohio State at the same time. I'd love to hear a voter justify their reasoning.

If we win out, beating a good Syracuse team and then VT and ND, we will be in the top 4 come conference championship week. If we then beat Clemson or NC State, we will be in the playoff. Just keep winning and take it one week at a time, and everything else will take care of itself.

Does anybody not believe that at least 10 out of the 12 teams behind South Florida would beat them? These rankings suck.

does anybody think that Miami right now can beat either Clemson or Oklahoma ?? Last two wins in the last 2 minutes of each game.. just not elite right now.. it's coming for Miami, just not there yet.

"Can" beat them? Yes, if Iowa State and Syracuse can, I'm sure we could too.

As are Penn State and Georgia. At least Penn State has the buzz of having the future Heisman winner but all this premature slurping of Georgia in an effort to boost the SEC's overall reputation is annoying as f*ck.
