He said it would be a couple weeks before firings happen... that’s a long time in an employee market as competitive as this. If there’s a just few top tier candidates, manny could very quickly find himself SOL.

Think about it a minute. If you are the coach and know you will fire someone do you wait to look around after you fire them or do you already have in mind replacements before you fire them? Besides, once the firings are made public does not mean they were fired at that very moment. Pretty sure feelers have gone out already to potential replacements.

Easy decision for Manny to make if he wants to keep his job. Fire Baker, Rumph, and Patke. Allow Stroud to take an administrative role due to his age and health issues. Encourage Banda to take the DC job. Ask Blake and the BOT for lots of money to bring in SEC coaches. Essentially blow up entire defensive coaches.

There js no reason to wait. If you gonna fire someone you do it as soon as the bowl game is over. The statement before was that manny had his man wrapped up already. Feelers don’t get anyone wrapped up.

In this case, I believe that because no firings have been announced, none have been made. I honestly can’t think of a reason why they’d fire someone and keep it quiet. Especially someone like manny, who loves good PR.
