I am a diehard cane fan since I was 4, and love Da U..... but when i come to these boards there is always whining and complaining. The man has been on the recruiting trail for about a week and some change and already has attacked locations and players nobody at miami has recruited in years...... he has a linited plan this cycle and even than these guys have made major strides. Next year will be killer, but give the staff time to adjust and get the guys they have relationships with already. They cant attack new players 2 weeks prior to signing day its a waste of time...... calm the **** down
 
I'll be fine with locals complaining about us going out of state as soon as we start getting all the kids we want. As soon as the top local kids start MEANING IT when they say Miami is their dream school, then the complaining will be warranted. But as long as we get no loyalty from the locals, as long as it's business for them, they can stfu, it's business for us too. And as for b**ching about going to Georgia, it's time to get over the idea that every kid in Florida is better than every kid in every other state. Richt is going after kids he was recruiting for Georgia, and guess what? Bunch of those kids are from Georgia.
 
The problem is that a lot of these south Florida kids seem to have an attitude about Miami right now from the previous staff. So how is he going to change it in 3 weeks. They may have relationships with players for a while from Georgia that would en easier to commit.

He will have a full cycle on the 17 kids, Brit it will take winning to change the views of some of these kids.

Look at all the 2017 kids that are high on the other schools....it won't be easy but if the product on the field improves so will recruiting.
 
There are some anonymous flamers that have joined the board with some negativity, but if you ignore them they'll go away. CMR and the Grinders out there putting in work for 2016 and 2017. Even during our championship years we ventured out of state quite often. Recruiting now a days requires you work all the areas that have talent to offer including GA and NE.

So you dont like the fact that Richt is trying his best to save this class by going for kids that he has an already established relationship with? You think he should instead go for kids he has never talked to because they are form SFL? Are you FN retarded? Really? I am serious, are you FN retarded?

He has been in Ga a half day and your ****ed? He has recruited more in FL than Ga but your ****ed about this one day?

Richt is fighting for recruits in SEC territory and/or Texas. That alone is an improvement. Not just fighting with other ACC teams or trying to pull a kid away from Rutgers.

Also, someone else made the point that he hasn't had extended time in South Fl recently. Would make sense that he will reconnect with South Fl coaches given time. It's way to early to look for a State of Miami.....yet.

Exactly. He's been working kids in Georgia all year. Of course he's going to have a better chance to flip them than some south Florida kid that he might not know as well. That should change more next year when he has a full year. This is his best chance for high returns this year

Negative stuff? Where do you guys come up with this stuff. 99% of Cane fans are ecstatic at how the staff is patching up this recruiting class.

what 2 stars. kids offered are 3 stars or higher. most of the kids going after are 4 stars. only 2 star taken is the wr and he has legit sub 4.4 speed. and he is from south florida.
 
I think Richt has approached this last month of recruiting perfectly. We're in good position to land back Richards then add on DT Logan it's kinda ridiculous to be negative with having this short amount of time to recruit. I think his '17 class is where we can judge him and the staff.

Agree. Also, When he committed to Miami he got bumped up to 3*...showing how ridiculous their rankings are to begin with.

Mark Richt is a professional at what he does and no one else on this board is, including myself. He ain't no dummy, lest he would not HAVE A 74% WINNING PERCENTAGE OVER 15 YEARS IN THE TOUGHEST CONFERENCE IN CFB. Re-freaking-lax, you guys are so used to AG that you have forgot what it is like to have an ELITE head coach. Can you imagine what out recruiting class would look like if the previous staph was still here. We got beat 58-0 by Clemson, 59-20 by UNC. You won't see that again. Richt ain't about to let that happen. Let the man build his team.

I'm really hoping that Rumph, a professional, has already thought of using the telephone as a recruiting aid.

1. SEC wasn't the toughest conference for the last 15 years. Maybe the last ten.
2. Are you counting his out of conference games in the winning percentage or just his SEC games?
