Florida players vs Georgia players. That's simple. Florida has winning records over every rival (besides us) so that's something they do well. Now Richt's back in the Florida way.Agreed 100%. What he did at UGA I view as almost irrelevant. If he does well at Miami he needs a raise or extension. If he does badly at Miami he needs to be fired. What he did at UGA is completely irrelevant to evaluating his Miami job performance.
Success or failure at one stop doesn't necessarily been success or failure at another. Chuck Fairbanks did great at Oklahoma but was a total flop at Colorado. Gene Stallings was the opposite. He originally was a total flop at TAMU but later was a great coach at Bama.
Richt did good but not great at UGA. And hopefully will do great at Miami.
Just like how what Al Golden did at Temple was irrelevant, look where that logic got us.
Oh Golden sucked because of Temple? Please. Looking at overall record is a stupid way to judge a coach. Temple was losing all their games when Golden got there. He got them to 9 win seasons. Golden wasn't trash because of what he did at Temple, he was trash because he coached Miami like it was Temple.
But this rally to make sure Miami fans don't get fooled again, what's the point. Richt just got paid 4 million, he isn't going anywhere. Not to mention, he has the best resume of any Miami coach ever before coming to Miami. Sack up troll. Get a new tampon and get ready for the season.
All I brought up was his record against UF, which is alarming after 15 years of playing them annually.
Hmm I'll have to check that stat about UF having winning records over every rival, but if true that's a valid point. Still do they have a .6667 winning percentage over all their rivals, because that's what they had against Richt when he was HC at UGA? That number could also be much higher if Muschamp never coached there.
