Coach Prime Presser tomorrow.

Are there rumors of him retiring due to health reasons?

Purely a guess here, but with setting a press conference, you would expect something larger than normal. Perhaps something serious (amputation?) that would necessitate a long recovery and either a short-term or long-term postponement of coaching from the sidelines.

Especially with his medical team being present

Diabetes is no joke. I found myself prediabetic last year and immediately had to make changes to my diet. All I drink is water now, and if I really need something sweet, I'll have one piece of 85% cacao dark chocolate. I went from 270 to 205, I still need to get down to 175-180 (I'm 5'10.) I know people that have lost fingers, toes, feet and have even died from diabetic complications.

Hopefully it's not serious to the point that he'll never be able to coach again.

Kudos to you being proactive. May you stay on top of your fight and continue to lose desired weight. I've seen folks gradually lose fingers, toes, and limbs. It is not a pretty situation.

I have no inside info obviously so purely guessing, but there is also hopefully maybe he’s trying to dispel his health rumors by having his doctors there and giving them permission to address the ongoing health concern rumors that he has tried to minimize in the past.

Just from a pure humanity perspective, that’s what I hope it is but clearly it could be going the other way

From everything I've seen, Deion has never been formally medically diagnosed as a diabetic. His daughter has.

He has had serious issues with circulation to his legs and feet, losing two toes so far, and having blood clots that needed resolving. When he lost the last toe, there was some fear apparently that an amputation of a leg, up to the knee, might be required.

apparently this is to address his general health as it was rumored that he was ill a month or so ago but everyone declined to talk about it.
Unfortunately I fear he may be dealing with something more serious than his circulation (which is serious enough) because he’s been away from the team getting medical care a few times these last 6 months. I believe he even missed their spring game while getting care.

Look if his kids were on the team this whole drama queen press conference wouldn’t have happened. He did what he was intended to do and was coach his kids through college and place both of them in the best position possible to get drafted. Why would he stay coaching? It isn’t the money….

As with all the Noles, never rooted for them regardless if they were playing and coaching, but this is bigger than football, so hoping for the best regarding his health. I've had my share of vascular issues with DVT, and it's scary stuff. Best of luck to Mr Sanders.
Take care of yourself man. I’ve dealt with some similar stuff and have APS. Every day you wake up is a good day. 😊
