Props to him, I must say I was shocked to see he was the coach I knew way back when at Gables in ‘93. He wasn’t my favorite position coach, coach Rolle left that same year and he was the ****! Anyways, good for you...

Was my HC ‘02-‘03. Love that guy. Got a feeling he will coach here one day.
 
Does ponce mean the same over there as it does in the UK?

It's an unfortunate surname.

Still did not hold a candle to coach ((Leif) Erickson’s Norman Raid offense. Great game day coach but let his players run around like barbarians. @Cane since 1060.

I guess we're not cool enough to know OP's buddy Coach Ponce? Be nice, maybe he has difficulty and it was too difficult to provide a brief explanation? It is one thing to say "Diaz" or "Enos" but just don't know of any Ponce's regularly on UM's front page.

I'm totally indifferent on whoever Coach Ponce is.

Dude is way overrated. Another coaching legend because he coached Dade County High School Football.

Wasn't allowed to call plays at App State and still isn't allowed at Louisville. Not impressed with the job he's done with Pass at Louisville. He's nothing more than a High School O Coordinator or D2/D3 Level QB Coach. Lil Petey was pimping his name out when Manny was assembling his staff but he never had a chance to getting the Coordinator gig at Miami.

Once that staff gets shuffled in a couple of years he'll end up at FIU as the QB coach again. He's married to Christine Cruz at WSVN so he's been trying to get a gig closer to home in Fla.
