Coach Les Miles in trouble ...

Are there people on here actually defending Miles hitting on subordinates a third of his age?
Yes, unshockingly. And someone ignoring the fact that two of the student workers filed sexual misconduct claims against him, including one where he allegedly sexually assaulted the student. But it’s the university cowering to the “leftist woke mob” according to some.

Never seen a dude have more horrendous takes on such a vast array of topics.

His innocence was preserved because nobody from outside the school can scrutinize the findings or investigation. Thats an invitation for the mob to demand transparency or heads. And the schools will offer up heads before they ever become transparent. The cycle continues.
His innocence is given. No one has proven anything to undermine it. You are damning him with unfounded hints and allegations. It’s wrong.

If there were criminal acts committed, no proper authority has said so. No private investigation paid for by an institution really counts here anyhow - Miles didn’t hire those lawyers. Plenty of institutional investigations throw disposable people under the bus.

You dont know that. You know what the law firm said and the law firm works for LSU. Just like the Baylor situation. These investigation are designed to bury evidence, settle, and protect the university. The accuser deserves a more transparent process, without it these situatuons will continue.

Asking the public to give universities and the accused the benefit of doubt is negligence at this point considering their track record.

What?

If you want justice you go to court or the law. The ‘accuser’ did neither As far as I know. And you have no idea whether the investigation was biased or not. You’re just throwing slanderous rumors around with zero knowledge.

You live in a strange world where universities are spending 10's a millions of dollars to hide investigation results doesnt raise reasonable suspicion. Thats a special kind of priviledge.

Stfu with your privilege garbage. That’s a fancy word for you to use to try to shut down a discussion you’re losing.’ Privilege’ is you on a message board thinking it’s okay to slander people and institutions you know jack **** about because your emotions are triggered and you’re a snowflake millennial. Then when you get called on it, you retreat to slandering the people you’re debating with. Because you hsve nothing of substamce and can only find truth in your emotions. Weak.

I want transparency. Accusers deserve a transparent investigation. Accused derserve full vindication acheived through transparent means not settlements and NDAs. . Everyone wins and the mob can stfu.

Youre the one flying off the handle with insults...but im the triggered one lol.

But keep doing it your way and cry everytime the mob shows up about how you cant settle behind the curtain in peace like the good ole days.

We have laws. If he broke the law, tell the police. Every privately uttered ‘accusation’ does not deserve ‘transparency.’ That’s an idiotic emotional view held by too many in a childish generation. If you want you vindication, go to the law. Settlement agreements are an essential part of any civil or criminal justice system and hating on them marks you as a troglodyte. You assume someone is guilty and want them destroyed with no evidence. Everything about your view here is unamerican, reactionary, illogical and destructice.

They tried it your way. Did you not notice the trail of destruction lol?

That’s what every lynch mob believes. Where’s your trail of destruction? Did the law not apply? The problem with your view is you want the moral satisfaction of destroying people without having to do any of the things the law requires to find guilt. There’s a reason the law provides protections for the accused. It’s because there are too many people out there who think like you do.

Id defend an 88 year old woman or man or whatever else someone can be called in 2021 for "hitting on" a woman or man, etc 1/4th their age (22).

Just not with a mentally handicapped person (preditory) nor subordinate (undue influence) nor other person that is illegal (such as a lineal descendant) OR a in violation of a contract (such as a fraternization issue)

Other than those TYPES of exclusions, two people who are adults can "hit on"/pursue a sexual relationship.

Free your mind and the rest will follow

Be age blind (if adults), don't be so shallow

Hidden behind walls of lawyers? No competent lawyer would permit Miles to share a settlement agreement of that sort.

The bottom line is Kansas is caving to the mob.

What mob?

Anybody that’s gainfully employed, especially in management like he is, knows the rules.

He clearly broke those rules at LSU. He’s lucky to have kept his job, and not get fired at LSU. The only reason he didn’t get fired is that college athletics is its own bubble.

But from what I know of the allegations and actual facts at LSU, in the real business world, he would have been cut loose so quickly it would make your head spin.

Yes, there are a lot of old fat guys on the board who are still fantasizing about how "thick wallet" and "daddy issues" will cause a girl who is 18 years and 1 day old to be legitimately and passionately and honestly attracted to a 67 year old man.

In addition to breaking the rules at LSU, he also lied to his prospective employer at KU. He was specifically asked to disclose any prior issues, and he said there were "none". Not "I had a bizarre issue and we settled out of court". No, Miles said there was NOTHING.

THAT is also part of the problem. If KU still wanted to hire Les Miles after they hear about what happened at LSU, that is there decision. ****, Louisville rehired Petrino, so let's not pretend that Les Miles was unemployable if he disclosed what happened at LSU.

Please try to stay out of legal discussions.

Les Miles violated civil rules of conduct, not criminal statutes. Stop talking about "protections for the accused". This isn't a criminal court situation.

Lots of misguided porsters like to cite the First and Fourth-Fifth-Sixth Amendments as if they know what they are talking about.

1000%. People citing the law when they don’t have a f’ng clue what they’re talking about is unnerving.
