Coach Jess Simpson Mic'd UP Oh My

I loved stroud, excellent recruiter and an even better man. But I said from the second I saw him teach our d line in videos that it was night and day versus Kul and Simpson. Intensity and violent hands are such an emphasis for Simpson. Can’t wait to see what he does with these guys. Really hope we get a couple of years out of him here

I think CMR gave him an asst HC title. Hopefully that's enough to show he valued as DC seems a bit of a stretch (I'm hoping TRob can eventually slide into that role, securing him at UM for a bit longer). Simpson isnt young and I'm sure he and his wife would love to settle down and have some security.
It seems like it will be either TRob or Simpson.

Love Coach Simpson. He’s the epitome of a truly great coach. He’s just himself out there getting the best out of his players game in and game out. Hopefully he’s ready to settle down with the missus in South Florida and put down roots. I think the DL is going to bust out this season. Chantz might even supplant Harvey for that DE spot if Jahfari isn’t ready to put in the work. I’d also like to see how Deandre will do as the other DE. Roberts will show up at SDE, it’s going to be a more cohesive unit this year. Throw in JHH and Nesta plus Ford and Miller - I think we shine in not only sacks and TFL’s but against the run. Just can’t see another 550+ bagger happening on Jesse’s watch.
LOL Yeah because the player everyone talks about as being the biggest Gym rat doesn't put in the work.

Dude you picked the wrong player to state your case.

We shall see. That’s the beauty of opinions, everyone’s got one. I do believe that we will see more Chantz as the season wears on. Either or, it’s great competition. Iron sharpens iron.

Oh My, I am ready! Go Big and Get Vertical!

Go Canes

Do y'all really get "hyped" over this stuff? Serious question.

Every year, same blah-blah-blah from coaches and players—cliches, hyperbole and big talk about guys showing out—followed by regular season setbacks.

Simpson is a great re-addition to the staff—and I expect the line to improve under him—but these videos the marketing team churn out; it's all fluff.

Go to any decent program across the country, mic-up a passionate coach and you're going to get the same thing here.

Man you’re a chronic mope.

Gotta love this dude's energy. THAT is the temperament of a D-line coach.

PS - some of yall need to get your eyes checked. That was Scaife's chip that sent JHH to the ground, not Vaughn.

Cane you may be right but I’m talking more about the fact that you said Harvey doesn’t work hard. And that’s just nonsense. I actually think Harvey is going to explode this year.

Check what he said a little closer. He didn’t say Harvey doesn’t work hard. He said “if” he doesn’t put in work, Chantz will take some of his reps.

So that's not implying he doesn't put in the work? I mean all we keep hearing from the young man is how hard he works.

No it isn't implying anything. We've become an "implying" society where negative assumptions get read into every comment. He merely said if he doesn't work hard, then Chantz might come for his reps.

Harvey can be a hard worker now, and then he can slack off at some point. I have no way of knowing how hard he works or if he's prone to slacking or not. But IF he decides not to put in the work at some point, then a hungrier guy can eat some of his reps.

Right. No indictment on Harvey just was saying IF he doesn’t keep it up and going, then Chantz is coming. Which is a great thing not a bad thing. We need kids with others behind them pushing them for playing time. That’s going to continue to improve themselves and improve the overall team as a whole.

So what if Chantz doesn't put in the work. I mean the info we heard from coaches is Harvey is a hard worker. I haven't heard Chance is a hard worker.
