Coach Hard Work on Joe Rose

- Played hard
- Passing game regressed
- Doing a lot of good
- We face things head on
- I don’t comment on personnel
- We are looking at everything

Rinse repeat this macho POS making $80m one of the great swindlings of all time.

He doesn’t have the answer this season.

That’s what happens when you hire a recruiter and not a proficient professional on one side of the ball or the other.

I didn't listen but one thing tweeted out earlier today was that he didn't name a starting QB for Saturday.

The noise is getting louder to sit that headcase--good! Our offense is a national embarrassment and should rightfully be panned. You put Emory in for all 4 quarters. He has a few bad drives, fine, live with it. He'll be less green for it afterwards.

No more downs for Van *****.

The Columbus Cabal story

I go back and forth on FSU. I agree, I think Mario will start TVD against FSU. I anticipate the game will unfold just like last year's. A hobbled TVD will go into Tally, get beat up a bit and will have to come out of the game b/c he gets injured. An ill prepared Emory will come in just like Jake last year and proceed to play poorly and our defense will give up. Only saving grace is our running game. With TVD, our gameplan has to be run run run without asking much out of TVD.
I don't think it will be as bad as last year because we will run the ball a little better and waste time and the new clock rules in CFB give teams less possessions. I predict a 34-9 type game.

What does Mario actually do other than recruit? Genuinely curious what he's doing all day.

I know he's not involved with the defense at all. Does he design inside run plays for the offense? He cant help any position outside of OL and at that, he is still completely dependent on high level recruits/transfers.

Oh, I know! He gets players injured!

Some of y'all are hilarious.

Who would waste 15 minutes of their morning listening to coach speak on a Monday after another loss.

You really haven't learned by now? You could cut and paste this same conversation about Coker / Shannon / Golden / Richt / Diaz after a loss.

It's coach speak. Nobody goes on these shows to deliver kernels of wisdom or truth. It's an obligation to the hometown station to show face the morning after.

The dissection of these interviews by some is mind-boggling.

TVD/Dawson haven’t done **** against zone looks. Let us hope fsu is arrogant enough to play man against us.

Lmao this could've been copy/pasted from an Al Golden interview in 2014 and I wouldn't know the difference.

i dont disagree but at FSU isnt the place imo. just asking for a disaster class especially if its a similar offense to what we ran against clemson (which i think a lot of poeple need to rewatch that game bc it was pretty unwatchable shrot of the D keeping us in it outside of a nice fourth q drive). the season is shot. theyll get a bowl game so the extra practices and moeny are there, but if anything bring him in at home against lville.
Dorsey got his baptism by fire at Vatech and it seemed to work out afterwards

Thank God for new clock rules!!

Not to pile on, but I really think this is the bottomline concern.

We are all comfortable that Mario is going to work hard. It’s whether those long hours are smart hours heading in the right direction.

Yes, his solution to things is to work harder. He has no idea how to fix this mess outside of working harder and getting better players.

Success depends on the mental and intestinal fortitude of the individual being put into the fire. Dorsey was obviously tough in both aspects but no one knew until he was thrown in there.

Add up all the money this athletic department has wasted on inept coaches in football, basketball and baseball in the last 20 years.... 150 million at least
A lot of p5 programs spend money and don’t get results.
Tenessee, Michigan, USCw, Oregon, all have spent more than us. UF as well and even Clemson went on a spending spree after their playoff appearances.
Even northwestern broke the bank with their latest additions.

Don’t expect results just cause you spend.

If you gave Mario the option to work smarter not harder or work harder not smarter he'd take option B 100% of the time.

Throwing $$$ at a problem more often than not, doesn’t solve said problem. Getting to the root cause will have much more success.

I just cannot fathom that Cristobal's thinking is along the lines of a "tough and physical" long, plodding slow offense with methodical drives is the best way to win. It's 2023 and he thinks keeping it close and trying to string together a winning drive with three minutes left is the best strategy?
