Coach D'onofrio and Recruiting.... what is he doing?

This is a recruiting board so when it comes to recruiting D'onofrio is an F- Coach, simple as that.

Miami needs assistance who dominate on the field and in recruiting.

How is this thread productive or interesting enough to allow it to pollute the recruiting board?

COach D needs to step it up..... he hasnt done much of anything in the 3 years he's been here.

So D'onofrio doesnt deserve any criticism even though he's been on the job since Al Golden.... dont act *** now.

it's ok to jump on James Coley but D'onofrio isnt fair game b/c he's Al Golden's best friend. lol hilarious.

...says the guy who gets all defensive every time anyone criticizes Morris' regression as a QB, his poor decision making, and his bad accuracy on all but the long ball. You'll find any excuse to criticize D'Onofrio, but deflect any criticism of Morris.

What's amusing is that you pretend you know how influential he is or isn't in recruiting and how much of a role he played in getting the many great young recruits that we have lined up.

you sound like a ******.... I criticize Morris to but i'm not a brainless drone and since i know more football then most on this site, i can easily see that Morris isnt the #1 problem on this team and definitely wasnt in the FSU or WF game.

So keep on *****ing... I enjoy it.

what's amusing is that you think D'onofrio is doing some secret **** behind the scenes.... NO. He's not involved in recruiting and doesnt bring anything to the table as far as recruiting goes. Thurston Armbrister was his biggest accomplishment in 3 years.... i'm sorry but that's pathetic and I like Thurston Armbrister solid player.

He hasnt done much in regards to Football either but that discussion is on the football board.

He deserves criticism like any man who isn't doing their job, but you are really arguing over semantics..

This year Morris has been a bigger problem on the team than the defense. Period.

NOPE..... Morris is the main reason (him and the offense) this team is in position to win the Coastal w/ a bum ankle try again.

Most Offensive And Defensive coordinators do not aggressively recruit during the season. That job falls on the position coaches. Usually the Coordinators are told to focus on the game plans during the season. Even then HC usually doesn't get involved until it's an official home visit or they need someone to close the deal with the recruits or parents. Even when you hear recruits talk, they'll say blah, blah, blah about the positions coaches and that they are close and that they met the HC after a game or the coordinator. So Pruitt as the DB coach at Bama had a chance to recruit. While he is at FSU, I bet you anything he is no where near as aggressive as a recruiter due to his responsibilities.

If Miami hired Travaris Robinson (Miami native), secondary coach at Florida, to Defensive Coordinator like what Jimbo did w/ Pruitt..... it would be a guarantee that Dalvin Cook and JC Jackson would commit here.

He is also responsible for recruiting Khairi Clark, Quincy Wilson, Ermon Lane, Duke Dawson, and Chris Lammons to Florida as well.

The thing is you HAVE NO CLUE who he is or has recruited to Miami. You're also the same kid who said Miami was just as good as Alabama and was drinking our defenses kool-aid 3 weeks ago. So do everyone on this board a favor and kindly shut your stupid ******* know nothing mouth. Thanks.

All we can do is go by the information that is available to us.

According to 247 D'ohno is given credit for the commitment of Nick Linder. His remaining top target that isn't currently committed is Anthony Moten.

Some other top targets that he was the primary recruiter for that are committed elsewhere are: Jabrill Peppers, Corey Holmes, Chris Lammons, Kiy Hester, Ravian Pierce and Marquese Dudley-Gordon

James Coley on the other hand has the following commitments credited to him: Bethel, Rosier, Trayone Gray, Kayaa and Yearby. Those are the prospects that he was the primary recruiter for. It does not include prospects for which he was their secondary recruiter (Chad Thomas the only one committed he's credited with being secondary).

For those saying coordinators aren't heavy in the recruiting game:

FSU DC, Jeremy Pruitt: http://247sports.com/Coach/Jeremy-Pruitt-267

Auburn co-OC, Dameyune Craig: http://247sports.com/Coach/Dameyune-Craig-37

Alabama OC, Doug Nussmeier: http://247sports.com/Coach/Doug-Nussmeier-762

Georgia OC, Mike Bobo: http://247sports.com/Coach/Mike-Bobo-67

Alabma DC, Kirby Smart: http://247sports.com/Coach/Kirby-Smart-264

Notre Dame DC, Bob Diaco: http://247sports.com/Coach/Bob-Diaco-208

Texas A&M OC, Clarence McKinney: http://247sports.com/Coach/Clarence-McKinney-669

Maryland OC, Mike Locksley: http://247sports.com/Coach/Mike-Locksley-813

All ranked nationally top 30 for recruiters according to 247. I'm not sure how accurate and up-to-date this information is, but it's all I have to go on. Don't tell me coordinators aren't heavily involved or relied upon in recruiting, because they are...if they're good at it.
