Coach Diaz Has Obviously Forgotten How To Coach...Right?

skimmed through a few of last years games and we did the same things we're doing this year on defense execution was just a lot better.

I don't know who your post is directed at, but criticism of Diaz is fair. I don't have a problem with it at all.

Don't make me pull up the posts from a few weeks ago where I was trying to get a whole bunch of you to pump the brakes on the Diaz slobbering. We literally had people demanding for immediate raises, head-coach-in-waiting torch ceremonies, and all other kinds of prisoner-of-the-moment bullshīt.

At the same time, fire Diaz? I get the feeling the defense this year is going to need a few games to hit on all cylinders, as long as they don't lose us a game, I'm good. But if we don't perform on defense, criticism is always warranted, no matter what the reason.

Starting to get this feeling to. Even No D's first year looked solid then we started running his full defense and Wefense was born.

I don't agree with just firing him now or even after the season (Unless we are in the 70+ on D) but my stomach is starting to hurt because It like we never get DC that can fix simple things like lining up LB closer to a slot or not playing our CB 15 yards back, or Blitzing more or less or not playing Tampa 2 or blitzing or doing 3 man rushes every 3rd down and it seems like we're about to go through the same problem with Manny.. hopefully he won't be stubborn since thats all we ever seem to hire at DC here. Stubborn Morons. Please don't be one of them Manny.

I re watched the game and Takeo Spikes said on multiple occasions we were not lining up soundly on defense.
He also said that's were most of the yards came from. He said we were letting them go where they wanted instead to of dictating where they went.. now to all the Diaz knows more than us posters crowd...do you think Diaz knows more about defensive football than a 10 plus year nfl veteran with multiple pro bowls at middle linebacker?

In what universe did NoD's first year look solid? The bizzarro universe you and krazycane live in? From the very first game against Maryland it was clear what a shītty non-agreessive scheme they ran.

The intent of my original post and others I scattered throughout this thread was to point out the insanity being displayed by those who were/are howling for Coach Diaz to be fired at this stage. It also deserves mention that many of the same executioners put Coaches Richt and Kool on trial in which it appears an indictment, speedy trial, conviction and firing is not far away. In no way have I stated or even hinted that posters should not, or do not, have the right to critique any aspect of the team they deem appropriate. It is not lost on me that the purpose for websites such as this one is for people to share their ideas…good, bad or indifferent! But, when reading the Toledo first half comments that reflected numerous posters melting down, hysterical, bed wetting, self-cutting themselves, licking the floors like a sick dog in heat, I felt compelled to point out the obvious.
 
Diaz's 3rd down defense = still atrocious.

The slot = still running wild on Diaz.

This defense stills leaves a lot to be desired.We are ahead tonight but Duke has helped out a lot.

Still too easy to complete third down and longs and Duke is running right past a lot of those blitzes.One missed tackle and it's seven.

There's a lot of things that need to be fixed.Hopefully Manny is good enough to figure out how to make them.

3rd down d improved for sure, but 3rd and long d needs some work.

Duke picked up 1st downs on 3rd and 19 and 3rd and 13 in the first half. Unacceptable. Don't think they had any in the 2nd half.

Rush defense needs some work too. Duke ran for 180+.
