Coach Dawson's Air Raid passing concepts in different looks & formations.
The Miami Hurricanes have displayed a potent passing attack so far this season under Coach Dawson, with TVD already passing for 1,042 yards in 3 1/2 games of action. A big reason for our passing games success belongs to the Offensive line but the creativity with incorporating Air-Raid passing concepts out of different looks & formations. This allows our receivers to continue to run the same concept at a high level, while the different window dressing keeps the defense on their heels. The video above shows how we have been able to consistently run the "Out & up" double move from the slot all year by making it look different pre-snap. Please check the video out and comment what you think about our OC adapting his Air-Raid passing concepts!
For the first time this year we ran the concept out of a trips formation, 12 set personel with 2 TE's in the game. The Inside stems on the seem routes clear the sideline for X's easy TD.
Just the game before vs Bethune we see the same concept out of a 10 set personel (4 receivers) in which the inside stem on the vertical seems opened the back shoulder pass for X.
We allow our true freshman the chance to make a chunk play, out of another 12 set with our two TE's backside we continue to go vertical with the concept.
We can even go back to game 1 vs Miami (OH) where we ran the concept out of a 11 set (3 receivers 1 TE) our of a 2 by 2 formations.
Coach Dawson's ability to keep the offense simplistic for our players but keeps the defense guessing just allows us to play much faster and with much better results. Make sure to watch the video! Please like & subscribe !#GoCanes
