BTW, here’s my Ibis bobble head. LOL.

DMONEY!!!!!! That gave me chills and I'm ready to run through that wall. I am so pumped up right now. I'm proud of you guys and you have a really good thing going here. I don't post a lot but I am browsing this site everyday (probably too much). Keep up the good work and keep doing what you do.

Nothing is perfect in this world, but you guys keep it real to a great extent, keeping us informed about the nuances of the program, from recruiting to the workings behind the scenes, is awesome. Worth the time following the content, the general responses by the CISers, and the subscription value. I’ve become a more informed fan of my team over the time I’ve been a subscriber. Keep it up!

This was a refreshingly honest interview. Not a ton of coach speak, but ready to answer some tough topics:
  • Pretty open about the portal and the changes to the roster and the current transfer system
  • Seemed to confirm some guys couldn't get that NCAA waiver to come back (thinking Bell in this group, in particular)
  • Owning he stole recruits from Miami while coaching at Bama and Oregon
  • Tough leaving the Golden staff, but making it obvious (without saying it directly) that he did not see eye-to-eye with an amateur operation and needing to leave to be able to learn and grow as a coach
  • Finding coaches and players that fit the culture
You guys asked some great questions that most media are not willing to ask a coach. Appreciate Mario giving you props.

Good interview. Loved to hear a few honest things from him about his short time where when Golden was here and his thought process on the transfer portal.

He also seems to have a sincere appreciation for CIS.
