Not against this coaching configuration, but what does recruiting look like if Chud is announced anytime soon. Would it be him, and the current staff, he'd let go anyway...
 
December hire guys. That's what I've been hearing fwiw. Don't think those tweets were related.
 
As I would love to see a hire now in the form of Butch Davis, I don't think we will see anything before the season ends. If there is anyone they are considering that is currently coaching somewhere else, I highly doubt those teams would allow miami to have contact to them during the season whether it be an nfl assistant or a college coach or assistant. If there were to be a hire upcoming soon, I would have to think it would be Davis because he is the only one not coaching right now that should be being considered. But in the same breath this would also lead me to believe that the longer it goes, the less likely it would appear they are willing to bring Butch back.

Although hiring someone would be great to have this person locked down and in place, it might be a rush unless we know who we want. December gives us more time to find the right guy. Make no mistake, I would like Butch. Hire him now and pack it up! He would bring an incredible staff with him.

This is why I have been screaming for Miami to hire Green bay asst LB Coach Scott McCurley as Miami's new LB Coach he has trained under some incredible defensive minds.

Combined with hiring Dave Aranda as UM's new Def Color. would infuse Miami with a massive amount of Defensive ability to coach X's and O's while squeezing the most out the talent they have available. An Aranda has been making a lot of Inroads in recruiting Florida for Wisconsin. The best part is Aranda brings pressure from the minute the defense steps of the bus.

I like Chod but ONLY with Butch as DC. NO BUTCH - NO PEACE even for Chud.
 
I'd prefer Butch but I'm cool if it is Chud. He was our OC from 2000-2003. So he recruited and coached our best team along with Butch.

Your full of Bull crap to the point of making an *** out of your self. Mcelwain was very successful AS a college head coach at CSU before being hired by the Gators and was a coordinator for Saban on a national championship team.Most of the Gator fans were happy with the hire. CHUD 's one stint as a head coach was an abject failure. The man has never even been a college coordinator.

Doesn't Chud make 3.5 million a year currently thru end of 2016. If I am wrong, what is his current salary.

Anyway, McIlwains 22-16 record at Colo St is so **** impressive.

How many NFL HC coaching jobs has he been offered?
 
I think his buyout is offset by any other job he takes.

So if Miami pays him 2.5 mil....Indy owes him 1 mil till the end of 2016.
