If we beat duke and win bowl and finish 9-4 isn't that cmr's normal baseline, he's always been a 9-10 wins a year kind of guy so is this the kind of results we should expect yearly now and would you guys be happy with this and every 5 years a 11-12 win team. He's never been a consistent finish in top 10 coach more of a finish in top 25

Yes, this is what we should expect, no this isn't good enough for me.

While the hiring could have gone much worse, this was a major concern for me. I do not think success at miami will be easier than it was in Georgia, and anticipate 4-5 years of above average play before the fan base realizes he is what he is and we shouldn't have crowned him.

No, that is not good enough for me. But, it's better than what we've seen over the past 12 years so I guess we would have to accept it.

He averaged 10 wins in the SEC so I expect him to finish around 10 wins each year with a year or two where we have shots at winning the AcC and touching the playoff. We are a few years away from that though. If all the juniors come back next year, there will be no excuse not to win the coastal.

There was no excuse this year.

It is the ACC coastal, there has not been, nor will there be an excuse any year. The division is trash, and any coach that doesn't win it at Miami is also trash.

I agree! We should have won the coastal this year. The UNC loss was ridiculous. I expected the loss at Va Tech on short rest coming off of FSU & UNC. UNC and FSU really hurt. I think Richt was still learning his team and what he had on offense.

Unfortunately I think we've seen what we've got with richt and it is basically what everyone knew before. We'll be a solid team with him but unlikely to win big. Upgrade from what we've had but not where we all want to be

My point is I feel we expected too much with cmr. The results this year are what he basically does. Granted we won't have 6-6 of losing records but I think this 9-10 wins a year is what we should expect from now on. Expecting anything more is the definition of insanity... Doing the same thing but expecting different results. This year is exactly what cmr does beat who he's supposed to lose to teams that are not clear wins and lose to major rival

So why are fans suprised at the results

That's why a lot of people didn't take it as some major coup that we hired a veteran coach with a relatively low ceiling given his last 8 years at UGA. We wasted this season, and next year we have another cupcake schedule that any good coach would achieve at least 10 wins from. So failure to improve next year would prove he's a corch.

guy run his offense like he has brad kaaya instead of Deshaun Watson, we win several of the games we lost and we finish with at least 2 more wins. which is what we all expected! disappointed with the season, but hoping for more in the future! the wins recently do feel different than the past two coaches!

Absolutely. Down voted you by accident

Richt is here to stockpile talent.

10 wins should be the minimum when he gets his recruits in.

We are literally three plays away from being 10-1 right now with a mentally retarded quarterback, and these mopes don't think our win total will ever improve.

We'll still have that mentally retarded QB next year, so will Richt be given another pass?

Agreed, but a coach still has to learn his players. Aint easy no matter how you slice it.
