I don’t really worry about our defense against spread teams. It’s the power teams that really cause us problems like Wisconsin x2 And Boston college. Manny and baker have to figure out why we struggle with those kind of offenses.

That's a good article and worth a read against a guy that'll likely be an in-conference foe for at least a few years.

This sentence stuck out to me:

Not only does he scheme a lot of long balls, but he seems to have no regard for where a play starts on the field. He throws from a hash mark to the opposite numbers frequently, turning what look like quick-hitters into comparatively long plays.

With all the talk about our safeties (lack of) range, this looks like the type of offensive system that will test it. Though I'd imagine we won't see as much single high stuff.

When did our Safeties acquire a lack of range? Gurv is an incredible athlete who can cover a ton of space with rapidity and malice.

We have good corners, should be a test for our safeties.. We have a heavy footed guy playing deep safety who cant get to seams and another who seemed to play like a user controlled player on NCAA who put the controller down..

/yea Im being kinda harsh

NC OL just as bad if not worse than ours. If defense does not feast we have serious problems. . Not worried about our defense this game. Want to see major improvements I offense and ST.
I think we'll see a very different kind of D-line performance against UNC. Garvin isn't going to be sitting back and spying the QB. Hill and Rousseau will likely get more playing time because Patchan's better run-stopping ability won't be as important. While at UF the goal was to avoid letting Franks escape the rush and get big gains, and to prevent their power running game from getting going, against UNC we will probably go the "kill the QB" route to rattle the freshman.

I said it before, Amari doesn’t have coverage instincts and should be a striker. Bubba will take that job by October. I’m praying Gurvan had the jitters because was not good and seemed not to love contact

But . . . Not so fast . . .

To have an air raid the QB has to have time to throw. We'll see.
