I've watched both a lot, and as a cane fan I may be biased but Eric Ebron was a top 10 pick but Clive is a better TE prospect in my opinion.

He's much bigger and just as athletic with better hands and can run better routes.

Ebron was far more consistent week in and week out for a longer period of time. Had Walford been as productive the last couple years as he was this year it would be a different story.

Warlord is a more complete TE, nobody is going to ask Ebron to get down and block effectively on a run play at this point. I think Clive will be a little more advanced in the art of the TE blocking. But he also gives up a little in the passing game, VERY LITTLE, but there is a reason Ebron went so high with what he put on tape.

Ebron was smoother and ligther on his feet.
walford may have more upside. But Ebron's route running was sick!

Ebron seemed like he is better at separating himself to get open while at NC. I didn't see that from Clive this year and from what I saw, many of his catches were the result of defensive breakdowns where he was wide open. No slight to Clive, just think Ebron is more polished as a receiver. Also, I don't think any of the U TE's blocked well all year. Clive was primarily sent on routes and wasn't held back to block. Dobard was inconsistent at best with his blocking - I don't see all the hype with this kid or Larry Scott's development of the TE's. Dobard needs a lot of work and the picture/*** fest with the **** star the prior to the FSU game didn't give me any hope that he has matured. Herndon shouldn't have even seen the field. Looked totally overwhelmed in the bowl. It could be a real weak point for this team in 2015

Ebron was completely overrated at UNC. He was a speed guy with questionable hands, an attitude and a refusal to ever block. He was hyped as an athlete and that's all he was. Now that he's in the league and playing against other athletes with speed, he's disappearing. If he doesn't change things, he will never live up to that hype or draft position.

Ebron's rookie season was very underwhelming and forgettable so we'll see if he can do something next season.

Clive never had the benefit of racking up stats playing against the dorito defense.

Ebron was maybe the best pass catching college TE I can remember. Thought he was gonna be a sure thing - and wasn't.

Warlord is a pretty **** good prospect and is overall a more rounded player than Ebron but nowhere in the same realm as an athlete and overall porpsect. Hence the reason one is looked upon as a 3-4th round pick and the other was a top 10 pick.

Ebron is essentially a jumbo receiver. Walford is an all around tight end, but his ceiling is lower in the passing game. Period.
