Clive Walford or Eric Ebron (TE FROM UNC LAST YEAR)

Walford will be miles better in the league. He can make the catch with a dude draped all over him and that's huge in the NFL. Ya'll keep talking about separation like this is a WR, TEs need to be able to work in traffic

Congratulations..You've just received my vote for the dumbest post for the New Year..Ebron 1st rounder with speed who ran over every team in the ACC including the vaunted Miami secondary...Walford late 3rd or early 4th rounder at best...Let the Draft decide....

TE's are just big Receivers in this day n age. Most teams have a Blocking and Receiving TE. Ebron has a higher ceiling being a Receiving TE, but Clive is def a better all around TE. I think Clive is the safe bet on being a better TE for years to come, but Ebron has a chance to be a big time playmaker if he puts it together.

We helped make Ebron somewhat overrated last year. The lethal downfield catches and smooth stride helped conceal weaknesses in the remainder of his game. Lots of guys on the specialized draft sites picked up on those flaws as the draft approached. There was some speculation that Ebron might slip. Didn't happen. All it takes is one team...

Tight end can be difficult to translate in the NFL. I've been fooled numerous times. Some of the obvious guys don't make it huge. Requires toughness and smarts in small windows. Remains to be seen if Ebron can develop those aspects.

I like Walford a lot. Didn't make sense early in 2014 when he was rated so low. Since's he's a rare Cane who has improved noticeably every year, it's logical that his breakout potential isn't as high as some Miami guys who enter the league criminally underrated. Not a great athlete. Generally one gear. I think he'll be effective but I wouldn't take him before the 3rd round, at highest. You win with great players in that league. High correlation between Pro Bowlers and playoff berths. I'd prefer to take a swing at top talents early and then swoop up the dependable types later.

Ebron was better. Clive is good but there is no argument in regards to who is the better player. Ebron was the clear cut best tight end in college last year. Walford was able to get a well deserved acknowledgement but I don't think he is the best tight end in this years draft. Max Williams is that dude. O'leary isn't good too but I always saw him as a Chris Cooley type. He doesn't look any different than he did in 2011 as far as physical maturity. However, he's good too. I'm a big Walford fan and was happy when he committed to us in 2010. I knew he was going to be great. That being said, he's not Ebron level. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go in the 3rd-4th(more than likely 4th) round.

That being said watch out for the tightend at Fiu. Kid's a talent. Best statistical season for all tight ends this year. He's more of a big wide out but he makes plays.
