They were a top 15 unit last year, and they'll be top 25 again this year. The offense is dog ****. They're Iowa with a slightly more productive offense and a less elite defense.

i don't think there's even really any need to try to make this loss more complicated than it is. clemson fumbled TWICE with goal to go, missed a chip shot field goal and had another one blocked, and had a pass go right off a receiver's hands into a defender's lap. all of that happening in a single game is spectacularly unlikely. they had 400+ yards of offense, rushed for over 200 and passed for over 200. it's a classic case of shooting yourself in the foot too many times to recover from.

Have you seen the turn around he's done a Duke? He worked at Texas A&M as the DC before leaving for Duke to become the HC. Stanford makes sense considering what he's done at Duke, a school with equal academic challenges/rigors but superior football talent that's underachieving..
