This is true. For years i always checked their recruiting with them being the acc top dawg. For whatever reason Clemson board is usually small as ****. Like they are stingy with offers and goes after certain types. Thats good when your winning and paying elite dts,wrs and qbs to come and saving everywhere else. Not good when your big pay evals fell off because you only hire guys you coached at clemson to be on staff and those guys dont hit.

This sh*t like a lil cultish..... just click the link...and it looks like those churches that are a lil edgy, but have drama and the pastor passed around collection 4 or 5 times in a service and also has a cash app or zelle link for the folks who aint have cash.

Lowkey there are some similarities to our downfall. They are desperately holding onto an old guard and formula that is failing them but they have refused to adapt. They are scared to go outside of what has worked for them.
 
Nice to steal some from Dabo. Big picture, the ACC becoming an absolute dumpster inferno. Our regular seasons are going to be so boring, playing a bunch of mid teams in front of 50k. Get us out of this disaster of a conference.

they dont know anything else and quickly scan their staff which is why i posted it...dabo surrounded by coaches that were coached under him in that same mold. Its good for cohesion for him i guess but aint no other voices in their building other than dabo.

This is as perfect a summation for this situation and the times as someone could provide - way better than I can say it but it reflects exactly what it is.

quick scan there is like 15-16 former clemson football players on staff lol just guys that played under dabo.

he just made ben boulware the linebacker coach....boulware never coached before and said he wasnt even really interested in it he had a business going. check th ebio aint no coaching experience there lol

I met him before I don’t think he’s fake. I think he truly believe that it’s his culture that draws players. That being at Clemson and his organization is a place that a player should be drawn to. I think Pre-NIL and transfer portal he was like Saban. I don’t wanna know how the 4 and 5 star cake is being made under the table, I just want the 4 and 5 star cake when it get here. Post NIL and transfer portal they both can’t handle it and don’t understand why a player would wanna leave them and go make money somewhere else.
 
This is a prime lesson of if you dont do the right things, you have no rights to win and get the best players. When people are calling out admin and coaching staff in good faith. Let them cook. 5-10 years ago Clemson was 2nd to no one. Now they are exactly like we were with Coker and up to Al Golden.


Fans have a way of placing too much on what a coach did instead or what they are doing now. You let a coach waste, 3, 4 years. You then wake up, you are 10 years and none of the recruits remember you being good because they were 6 when you were. I see a long drought for them. They still have some juice if they make drastic changes and the fans and admin who are defending Dabo recognize, he is a politician who is making politics drive his decisions. And yes it is politics because his decisions are not driven back facts but by beliefs.

You can see the pluses of the portal around the country, even in your own conference and still sticking to that hard headed stance. All because he believes players shouldn't enjoy any of the financial benefits of the sport they prop up.

I am sure Dabo is resistant to change like all humans, and I expect the first year or two of the portal and the new world of NIL, he got taken by surprise. But doubt this year crept up on him. Dabo didn’t forget how to coach. Or hire coaches. Clemson went cheap. The program is dead.

And at the worst possible time too. They may get left out of the next conference shuffle (and maybe last big one in the foreseeable future) and basically be "relegated".
