I have always hated UM but Cristobal is a modern day coach, the guy will recruit like crazy regular high schoolers, but will aggressively attack the portal. Why? Because he gets that not everyone is a hit and he needs to produce so he fills his holes and it shows. Back when he got here he wanted a good oline, he recruited a butt ton from high school to develop, but recruited the portal to hold it down until they developed. Now they have the best oline in college, the db room was awful so he brought in a brand new group, dline is so deep the 3rd stringers could start at most places. Sure they have a different payroll but the message is there.

Dabo does not inspire people to open they wallets anymore. He doesn’t inspire the fan base to have passion anymore, and he should not inspire faith at the decision making level anymore. He thinks his way is the only way and honestly I don’t see us getting back to the level we use to be.
It comes down to deciding whether we want to compete again with the best or allow ourselves to sink deeper and struggle to beat G5 teams
So does Bama still fire DeBoer and chase Dabo?
Nick Saban isnt actually jolly. Not if Bama wants to win.
Does anyone really see this being Bama’s move anymore? Hiring sanctimonious Dabo, the cranky old man who refuses to conform and do what needs to be done to win in 2025?
But Saban left coaching because of all these same things that now exist in CFB, and that Dabo refuses to acknowledge. So, I respectfully disagree. Yes, the infrastructure is there at Bama, but it is there in Clemson too if he wants it; he’s just refusing to do so because he’s a sanctimonious prick.Nick Saban isnt actually jolly.
Bamas infrastructure would allow for them to continue to win with dabo. **** he is still winning at clemson...while being stubborn lol He wont hold all the power as he does at Clemson..which may be a reason he wasnt in a rush to leave though im 10000% certain they want/wanted him.
Cannot believe im saying this but Bama could do better...Good fit for him culturally, but he needs to do an about face on the portal, NIL world there. The boosters can't tolerate someone not wanting their money.
Won't be surprised if Bama targets DawsonCannot believe im saying this but Bama could do better...
washed.
Couldn’t be happier this is happening to a bigger fraud. Can’t stand his “aw shucks” crap. He’s a phony. This is an excerpt from an article written by one of the Clemson 247 writers. Pretty blunt. They are not happy in Tiger town....
"When you're one of the top programs or teams in the country, which Clemson was at one point, teams need almost everything to go right or wrong for teams to pull off the upset or beat you on your home field. But that just simply isn't the case. None of these recent losses have really been freak accidents — the Tigers just aren't what they used to be.
Swinney is going to continue harping on the two defeats being by a total of 10 points and one or two plays being the difference. But let's just be honest about it — the scoreboard has been doing his team some favors so far this year. That seven-point loss to LSU could have been more. The near-loss to Troy was just that, not a heroic victory.
Saturday in Atlanta was no different. The game-winning kick was pretty wild, but the moments that led to that moment were pretty ordinary. Clemson is no longer the more prepared, hungry, motivated team it was in the last decade, and it's pretty obvious. In fact, the Tigers are the opposite — poorly-coached, overrated and satisfied with the results.
And that's a big problem.
Swinney and this program set the high bar that is currently weighing them down. Thinking about the old times and talking about them so often isn't doing this team any favors. The fans are done rewatching old highlights, and they're done hearing their head coach defend current problems with past solutions. Those glory days are now long gone.
Swinney's right, this is a good football team that should be performing at a higher level. It makes it even more bewildering when you bake in the fact that these are extremely experienced veterans in the starting lineup, including a senior quarterback in his third year as the starter and stars on defense that will eventually play in the NFL.
No, the season isn't over. But the road ahead is pretty clear — win out, or things are going to start getting pretty uncomfortable. Swinney is not on the official hot seat, and I'm not sure he really ever will or should be. He showed this place what it looks and feels like to grace the top of the sport. But some are going to be ready to show him the door if this continues.
You can only be hopeful and happy with past success for so long. It's time for Swinney and this team to reciprocate some of that loyalty.
The best is no longer the standard, it appears, but the hope."
