LSU could have had Jimbo (Ring) OR Herman. They said no and promoted from within after firing Les Miles (Ring). Ed O was FIRED by Ole Miss as HS, past up after being USC HC Interim TWICE! Miami even fired the guy as a positions coach!

LSU knew what they had.

Money alone (Michigan, Texas) is not enough. Geography (USC, Miami) is not enough. You need an administration with a football IQ and LSU has it. Clemson has it. They spend money in a wise and efficient way.

You do realize Ed was just on the hot seat last year and their fans and others were calling him dumb and a bad hire due to his speech and other crazy jesters. Maybe Diaz is our Ed, maybe he isn’t, but one thing for sure fans are going to be fans and show no patience either way. Everything that someone else has always look better when you know the results. Let our situation play out and time will reveal our results and what we have in our coach.

I have no idea what the injury is or he's making excuses but maybe not coincidence they went 3 n out twice, lets see how it plays put

You are comparing a veteran experienced coach with a world of football acumen, who is an elite elite recruiter and respected leader, who took over a team that finished the top ten basically every season for a decade....

to the stat nerd FSU grad whose daddy got him a HC job???

Not saying it's easy but they could shoot him up and put a jacket on.

Definitely risking a punctured lung (if the cracked rib injury is even true)

yeah exactly, not even sure where cracked rib came from. Haha. I think I heard it on tv
 
Btw, low 3 star staring at LB for Clemson and Turner, a walk on, getting run at DB. Imagine if Rumph had a walk on getting PT this year??
