What things has he inproved on the team. Penalties, discipline, toughness, preparation. Those are positive things, we been lacking for atleast a decade. You must be able to point to things we can all agree on and say yes he did that and its leading to results even if not in the win column

I thought deep down he was gonna go to Oregon the whole time. Wasn’t going to bet against Mario on that. He’s been winning those battles.

That's what I was told. Mom wanted Washington followed by Oregon. Oregon supposedly stopped recruiting him hard a month or so before he committed to OSU. When JTT and his parents took his official to Eugene the coaches really didn't say a whole lot to him, they simply let him hang out with the Ducks players and recruits and the players didn't even try to recruit him!

I hear and agree with your points but also want to add this: the portal is a great way of adding talent at talent deprived areas on the team. It's also smart because it helps bridge/defer an area of weakness. It allows player who aren't ready to continue to develop. I'm all for adding 3-5 players from the portal every year. Bama who annually has a stacked roster has utilized the portal to bolster their roster as well. Two of their starters are transfers.

That’s his crowning achievement besides his back to back off season national championships
I’m really surprised he hasn’t made rings for them yet

LOL so after 2 games you know this team is "worse than the Shannon '08 team"? Did you "know" Shannon was a bum after getting hired and having the #1 recruiting class you refer to? You don't know jack **** and the fact you think you do is hilarious.

Nobody here knows if he is going to be good or bad and certainly not after 2 years and 2 games. Odds are stacked against him b/c the odds are stacked against virtually every new HC in the last 20 years not named Urban Meyer.

Likewise. I just don’t think we are a position to be worried about margin of victory rn. The things to clean up on offense are quickly correctable. And fo me that’s the penalties and finishing drives.

2 years ago we lose to App state with the nature of the game being what it was. That doesn’t excuse the things we didn’t do to put that team away. I forget what quarter it was but I know it was 9-7, cam scored and one of our WR lined up wrong, then that KR happened..that’s 12 point swing right befor half I believe. App state takes the lead mid 4th..we go down convert 2 3rd and mediums and get the lead back..2 Years ago this team doesn’t do that Imo. Along with D getting the stop.

im a firm believer that not very many teams are the same every week. Only the historically greats string together strong performances in CFB and we aren’t close to thst. So with all thst being said, this team will not be the same team come October/ November..the key is improving on the things that need to be improved on so they can hit there stride. And if that means some close ballgames on route to a 10 year szn, so be it

I said there were things Shannon and them did in 2 years, just like Golden that pointed to them being bum coaches. And each coach we got more evidence that points to a coach not being any good. Recruiting classes doesn't make you a good coach, it makes you a good recruiter. When you are bum coach, those good recruits, turn into average college players like happened under Golden and Shannon. You can carrying on pretending that there is nothing tangible that is evidence that coaches don't have it, and its only the universe conspiring against them that made them suck. Nothing they did made that happen. We ont cosign to that. Diaz body of work, that i watched for 2 years into year 3 is what i watch and he sucks ***, 3 more years is not gonna tell me anything i don't know. Stop assigning your brain to other people, about no one not knowing.....you don't. Now go back to slurping him.

I love how you are saying about 2 years ago this woulda happen and blah blah. 5 years ago with Diaz on the staff and Mark Richt the HC we went up to App St and smash them. The only thing Diaz has done thats consistent is what we seen Saturday. Whether it ended up as a loss or win. The process was the same. Horrible penalties, indiscipline and blown assignments. No deviation.

It’s crazy..but let me tell u a secret..college teams have new players every year..I know it’s a crazy concept..but it’s true..and in 4 years..college programs have a whole new team..crazy, I know

Yeah and Diaz has been here for 6 and he has players who have been here for 5 and 6 years even. On defense very few players should be in confusion of what they are doing. Most experienced team in the country. Its a crazy concept i know!
