Class Impact: Jarvis Brownlee to Miami

Sounds like Cornelius Nunn and Kenny Logan are going to have committable offers pretty soon the way this is trending. Especially with Brownlee asking for Clemson/FSU offers while committing here. No bueno

Miami is in a good spot. UGA in a better spot

That's a cryptic message. Give an explanation. The kid has been on Miami's campus more than any recruit and has plenty of frends on the team.

If "in a better spot" means Georgia is offering him a lot of money, just say it.

Otherwise it just leads to people whining/complaining about the staff, when if the kid and his family want to break federal law there's not much you can do

Good will be a better CB than Brownlee in 3 years....

Don't love but I understand our CB class right now. S/o to the staff for their hard work.

Don't care what anyone says. Our corners next year scare the **** outta me. 0 depth at all.

Like with Frierson?

You have to just laugh at the ignorance here. UGA goes hard as **** at Frierson and misses, nobody cares. But Tyson gets 875 threads just cause its the other way

UGA signed 3 sofa DBs. And all 3 were top tier..

You keep ******* posting this and it isn't true.

Since early in the Spring we've been recruiting him wherever he wants to play, and that's what Richards himself has said
You seem upset.

This is clearly posted right in the OP. You know more than Stefan?

The plan at DB now? It’s to take five total guys, two at corner, two at safety, with the fifth spot a swingman for best available. With Good, Brownlee, and Smith on board, a source tells CIS that the top priorities at DB will in fact be Southridge (FL) 4-star Tyrique Stevenson and Wellington (FL) 4-star Mark-Antony Richards and that the Canes will sell out to land them and close the class out. And UM remains in a very good spot with both, as Stevenson was on campus twice last weekend, and Richards will be visiting Coral Gables on Sunday.

In this specific situation, I will explain myself.

For reference, I got this from the same trusted source that tipped me off about Steele to UF weeks ago, which is something I've referenced in multiple posts on the site the past few weeks. If you haven't noticed, Steele began crystal ball trending to UF this week. I have no reason to doubt this info and he's probably more plugged into Stevenson's recruitment than Steele's.

The reason I haven't said anything before was because I was hoping things would change and I'd hear new info before I would have to say anything and upset the apple cart. However, if UGA insiders have already caught wind of it, then there's no reason to hide it any longer.

To be clear, I've said it multiple times, but this is not a prediction, as the source says this is just where things stand now and it's not a done deal. There's plenty of time for it to change and I would not be surprised if Stevenson picked Miami. It's that close. Recruiting is a wild game and kids are changing their minds constantly.

As I've always said, take it as you will. It's my job to tell you what I'm hearing, and for you to put it into the context of what you already know. You don't have to agree on everything. I simply bring you the info.

Actions speaks louder than words. 2 weeks ago before that uga visit from Stevenson he said on a 247 podcast they weren’t recruiting him as hard as some other schools like Miami, he then went on and said expressed his clear interest of Miami so I’m supposed to believe that a school he said up until his last visit to them all of a sudden leading now over his rumored leader in Miami? Yeah I dont Know if I believe that

I heard that podcast - my take? He was looking to drum up more interest from Georgia - and it worked. Ever since that podcast and visit they have made him a major priority.

I do think there is genuine interest in UM. I do think we are his leader with Georgia - not buying the interest in Florida, though. He has said that BAnda is the coach he and his mom have the best relationship with. Aside from hanging out with Ivey, Frierson and Pat Joyner, his friends, why come back for coaches meetings and events like this past weekend, dressed from head to toe in UM gear? I also think, however, there is a definite appeal to him to leave south florida. Hopefully the relationships he has with our coaches, the appeal of playing in front of family and friends and the direction of the program will be enough to outweigh whatever Georgia throws at him (literally)

Just keep it real and ignore the fluffers that *****, moan, and down vote anything they don't want to hear. Otherwise your pieces will be just a bunch of the "Canes are great" articles setting then up for disappointment when they ink somewhere else. Then they'll roast you for being wrong on said fluff pieces.

Frierson was committed to us long before UGA made their run at him. Frierson also is related to Frank Gore, UM legend. Yes we fended them off, that’s a W for us, absolutely.

Stevenson is not GF or else he would have committed by now with how much he’s been on campus and is familiar with us. He still may but the longer this goes, the less likely it is he picks us.

It’s not ignorance, it’s common sense. Take off the orange and green shades and realize UGA (and Bama) will be a battle for every elite DB down here going forward.

I hope Stevenson breaks the trend here and turns out to be all cane but as Adams is confirming, not looking good at the moment.

How many times are you going to get burned?

Multiple times. And it doesn't appear like that trend is going to change any time soon. At the very least, the staff is trying to make some adjustments. It's going to be very hard to compete if we consistently lose our top local talent.

Rusty Mansell @247 dawg nation is selling UGA is making a run @ Stevenson just like they stole Campbell in January. Is there any truth to this?

yeah, that's been mentioned on this board before. Coley has been going after Stevensen hard for some time. He's their lone sofla target from what I've read.
