"Win and the recruits will come"

"Next year's class is loaded"

"The talent at :insert position: will make us not even miss :insert player:"

UM fan base favorite sayings since '05

We haven't won **** but I guess your post made you feel better

More like I'm tired of hearing the same excuses

Are they excuses or the truth, last I checked we've been irrelevant for quite some time now and the administration is finally starting to show some support (from the pockets) in the football team.

Way too early to panic obviously, but I'm getting real tired of the NEXT year crap. You have to close THIS year, or you're in the same spot next year.

I guess I worded it wrong. I'm tired of hiring the same old sayings, especially "win and the recruits will come" and "next years class is loaded!" Win and the recruits will come is the most obvious sh*t ever, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that recruits want to play for a winner. Next years class seems to always be next year, we can't afford to wait for next year, we need playmakers now! nothing is ever guaranteed in recruiting, especially in south florida and most of the posters hear always seem to assume that we are going to land all of these players. frustration has set in with me and alot of other posters here, considering that cornerback is a huge position of need and we can't seem to land anyone. playing time is up for grabs yet these recruits would rather play for florida state where they are absolutely loaded in the secondary. the talent gap between us and them is growing bigger and bigger each year, if we cant beat them this year with our potential first round pick at qb, i'm not sure we are going to beat them anytime soon after he leaves. i'm just rambling now.....sorry

Shodell is saying he spoke to CJ's dad who said the rumors of CJ decommiting are false...

I've never been bias so I am just going to be real. We are in this situation because we currently have the wrong philosophy, we are going after Edwards who needs coaching and will not be ready for next year, we will lose Elder, and I have been screaming two weeks straight go after Ameer Speed for a reason. We are playing a dangerous game of having a weak secondary next cycle. Richt needs to recruit for today and tomorrow like I said in the past. He needs to embrace south florida's recruiting mentality and set a statement by bringing in JC Jackson and Bethel. That way you have a corner for this year and two for the following season. Bringing in these two guys will take some stress off recruiting dbs this year and it will also allow the guys time to develop and understand the playbook while gaining depth.[/

Liberty city el,
Please be done with it. You just started following recruiting and your comments and general insight sucks, as witnessed on multiple threads.
I just joined the website, I've been following recruiting for over 15 years... You can GFY though.
Do you get some type of reward for your supposed "quality" contributions?

That guy is a Folden type douche...pay no attention. Bc he's been on this site since 11, he thinks he knows ****...douche bag

Is that you Diaz ? Lol

If he wants to be a cane, he will be a cane. He's not a "can't miss" prospect imo

Let me ask you, maurice3p, who is currently a can't miss prospect that is currently committed to us?

This cannot be the excuse EVERY single time a kid decommits from us. The kid earned his 4th star, maybe he goes higher. We don't need any top rated prospects decommiting from us.

This has been the same ole reason every single year this time around. Do you see Bama losing any of their top rated recruits in June? FSU? Clemson? What about OSU? Michigan? Notre Dame maybe? Why is the argument "it's only June" or "he's not a can't miss type" acceptable for us when we bleed decommits around this time?

Am I panicking? No...however, there was something that we never discussed about Richt; was he truly an elite recruiter or did he have the backing of UGA and SEC money to help? It's early, yes...but this is something to keep in mind as time goes on.

1st, he's an athlete, that plays RB in HS, projected to play CB.

2nd, We don't have a "Instant impact" recruit committed right now. The top guys are still on the board: Trajan Bandy, De'Andre Wilder, Jerry Jeudy, Anthony McFarland Jr., Marco Wilson, Jarez Parks.

3rd, Miami should wait until August to take commitments. The other schools like bama, USC, FSU, load up in the summer thru winter. Not spring & summer.

4th, It's easier to recruit at UGA opposed to Miami. Everybody wants to play in the $EC.

If their names aren't Jerry, Anthony, or Jarez then they ain't instant impact guys. Sorry to break your heart but the rest aren't impact guys, don't confuse impact with playing time

The thing that troubles me the most about all this is that Pete said he was a corner stone of this class. How can this kid go from recruiting others to thinking about decommiting. These sfl kids are ridiculous with there show me the love nonsense. This can't have a positive effect on some of our other targets like Jobe and Bandy

Show me the love= Show me the money.
