Agreed it was Carr's post spring. But Carr threw a bunch of picks in fall camp and Minchey was good enough and added some mobility.
Again, even Bryan Driscoll was surprised and he's the dork ND guru. I can't see Hestherman worrying about Minchey. He is the definition of mid and is mobile not a true dual threat. If he was really dangerous with his legs, he'd be starting.

Maybe he goes out there and lights it up. But 95 times of of 100 in college football it doesn't go that way. Maybe this will be one of the 5 times.

Rueban Bain is right up there with Leonard Moore in preseason defensive player rankings. He's going to be chasing the QB all night. Nothing points to this being easy.

It won't matter how CJ Carr plays. According the talking heads, ND has the best WR group, best OLine, best Linebackers, best running backs, and best DLine in the country...
