CJ Bailey needs to come home

I'm in agreements 100% with everything you said except seeing the need for a number one receiver. Assuming you mean number one like a big name. Because the necessity and how that offense would be ran would be ball management. Limit his risks. So I don't really believe a true number one is necessary in that capacity. If anything I would say a more dominant tight end. Even though I believe more than likely we already have that in house. But now that heart line is gone from OSU I definitely will be paying attention to their offseason. If things go how I assume they will then maybe we should be in the market for a true number one... #justsayin
Go get Jeremiah or just someone who will force defenses to play Toney a little more honestly than he will otherwise get next year. Then we can allow a 3rd wr to organically break out among Moore, Upshaw or even the incoming freshmen like Wingo or Parris.

A young qb would benefit by a ball management offense but their confidence can grow leaps and bounds with each successful calculated downfield throw.

I think the team doesn’t have to have a huge letdown next year. I think we will be able to retain talent that in past years would have transferred or gone pro prematurely.

Carrying them where?
They did beat four 8-win teams and three wins over SP+ top-40 teams (as many as Miami).

With a bad HC and zero talent outside of Bailey.

These things don't mean causation on their own, but I'd say he's carried them far above where they should be against that schedule.

I'll review whomever we pull and will root for them like any other Cane. I just think Bailey is better than this board overall seems to think (and I get things wrong all the time so what do I know).

Jesus **** my life christ... So leaps is how this is described? Joe Burrow in his two seasons as a third string QB at OSU behind Cardale jones and JT barret had 39 passing attempts. 29 completions. Literally nothing was asked of him. His first year as a starter was his first year at LSU where they went 10-3 and didn't ask a lot out of him. 2900 yards 16tds, 7 tds rushing and 5 picks...

Jaydin daniels was a freshman all American. He was a semi finalist for national freshman of the year. Had 5 300+ yard passing games all as a true freshman. Kid was a beast.

Really not sure what some of y'all are comparing people to before y'all say stuff. ***** crazy to even mention either of these dudes like they had struggles as starters let alone not acknowledge the fact their trajectory from day 1 was that of a superstar...

I saw Jayden in his 3rd year at ASU throw for 2380 with 10 TDs and 10 INTs. The shine had worn off Jayden by his 3rd year in college. Sounds like you are just saying stuff. If you know Jayden he had fell the **** off after that freshman season.

What?! Those are respectable numbers from Burrow in his first year as a starter. Mind you, he transferred late and he was still at OSU that summer before the season. So, who carried LSU that season where they didn't ask Burrow to do much according to you? Since you know every **** thing tell me that.

I don’t even remember that. That’s telling. He was a backup for yeas who was essentially an extra coach. I was a 6 year old that year. He played most of the games as Griese was out hurt. It was a question discussed back then as to whether he should continue in the playoffs as Griese came back - can’t remember when exactly.

Here he is…

Maybe you should read those comments that were made before you say that... Wasn't gonna bother with what you said about jayden in his third year. (Really his second year due to COVID season of a few games) I guess we won't bother to account for the fact other than Ricky pearsall his entire team was gone by the 21 season on offense basically. We also shouldn't account for the fact his oc and QB coach left after his first year to take a job for us? No pressure. Your take is apparently that he needed Brian kelly to revitalize his career. Had nothing at all to do with what I mentioned or the fact zak hill is a joke as a playcaller and isn't even a position coach any longer let alone an oc. No need to argue we just got different opinions if you're co-signing what either of those dudes said about jaydin daniels and Joe burrow being bad before they got to LSU. I'll stick to I'll happily take either of them.
