He's way better objectively than most of your list, and a much higher ceiling. The fact remains he's the best combo of size, athleticism, and accuracy of any prospect you listed. Needs to cut down the INT's, And yet his QB rating is higher than most.On 604 drop backs he has 17 INTs and 26 Turnover worthy plays and only 24 Big time throws. Also pretty sure he’s fumbled quite a bit. 18% p2s%. He played really bad against Duke and ND this year and played bad in a bunch of games last yr. I just don’t think he’s near the talent of some of these other guys. He just seems fine.
QB play as a whole is down on every level. The emphasis rn is on not putting the defense in tough predicaments and staying ahead of the sticks. The top 3 QBs coming into the year were supposed to be Allar, Klubnik and Nussmeier. Sellers and Manning were supposed to be superstars as well. Needless to say it has been a struggle and guys like Beck and Mendoza who have been adequate and haven't had turnovers are now surging. I wouldn't want either at the next level. Not trying to hate on anything he has done, but Beck is also atop the heisman odds and I don’t really think he’s done anything crazy. Just been solid
I always thought Josh Allen just needed more experience. I was always an Allen fan. So you should know what you’re talking about before saying something stupid. I was never an Anthony Richardson or Trey Lance fan.Yall would be saying the exact same thing about Josh Allen had he not turned himself around. Those two players obviously have a lot of talent. Their main problem was the amount of snaps they’ve taken. If Anthony Richardson had 3-4yrs of starting experience with that build and being LITERALLY the most athletic qb ever, and he still went top 5, then it wouldn’t have been a reach whatsoever. Taking QBs who have only started 1 yr in CFB and also barely even did **** in HS, is obviously not the smartest strategy. But the fact they went so high meant they obviously had TALENT. But the NFL and CFB are different beasts in going for a QB. If you ARENT swinging for home runs in NFL you’re an idiot. You take a Richardson and Trey Lance over a Kenny Pickett 100/100 times and just ******* hope they figure it out.
This years QB class isn’t very good regardless
I mean Brian Flores tried to warn them lol. But Tua was never the same after that hip injury at Bama. And the concussions just added on to it.Tua Tagavailoa was the 5th pick in the draft...
Hey Phins fans, do you guys think Tua plays anything like a top 5 pick?
If Dawson is still here I wouldn’t mind Sellers as plan b after JKS. I initially didn’t want Sellers. But after looking at what some South Carolina fans saying the offense is really holding him back I wouldn’t hate the idea. I think Dawson could turn him into a decent to good passerSellers is a monster that needs better weapons and structure around him. JKS has to be near the top of the list because he gives us multiple years of eligibility. The kid has the “It” factor.
He has Mike Shula as his OCIf Dawson is still here I wouldn’t mind Sellers as plan b after JKS. I initially didn’t want Sellers. South Carolina version of Mike BoboHe has Mike Shula as his OC
The ‘Curri Hive!Gonna have to do some digging to see if the people talking up Sellers were the same ones infatuated with Jacurri Brown
I just had Siri read this back to me. All I have to say is: well excuse me. Not all of us had the money to afford that 2nd grade public education, pal.Y'all gotta learn how to read lmao
Josh RosenBut why are they focused on Mendoza? It's not because he's from Miami.
For all the mistakes GMs make, it's still a first round league. Look at guys like Darnold, Mayfield, Goff and Jones having success at their second stops. The guys who don't go first round at QB have a very small chance of success.
The Anthony Richardson comparisons are weak to me because he wasn't even good in college. I thought he'd bust and so did a ton of other people. Mendoza is an much better college player by any measure- stats (17 TDs/2 INTs), team success (#3 ranking and 2-0 versus ranked teams), and national recognition.
I don't know if Mendoza will be a great pro. That's the elite of the elite. But he's obviously a great college player that would break the bank if he went back in the Portal.

Zach Wilson
Trey Lance

The list isn't one name long. GMs fall in love with mediocrity every year.

Coming into the year ge didnt even have a 2:1 TD-Int ratio. I wouldn't try and make the argument that he is actually bad, but he has greatly benefited from excellent coaching and supporting cast. But those guys weren’t mediocre college QBs. They were really good.
**** to f**k NO!!!!!Tua Tagavailoa was the 5th pick in the draft...

Aren't Duke paying him a metric **** ton of money? How about Mensah? 1900yds at the moment 15/2 TD/Int ratio at Duke..
